Eve will continue to branch out into other genres and other platforms, following the model of what CCP has done with Dust. RPG enthusiasts, RTS fanatics, and puzzle gamers will all find an immersive CCP game that ties deeply into the Eve universe.

Imagine a long lost sleeper artifact, buried on a lonely planet in wormhole space. Its existence is first learned by an Eve pod pilot while hacking his way into the sleepers' computer networks. He then sells the information to his puzzle gamer contact who proceeds to decypher the riddles to learn of the actual location of the artifact. This information is then purchased by an RPGer who leads a small party of explorers to retrieve the artifact. Unfortunately, a rich, monocle wearing treasure hoarder has also learned of the artifact, and so he hires an army to secure it before the small RPG party can get to it. The result is an epic battle, involving Eve ships trying to take armies, small parties of RPG style explorers, and Dust mercenaries all to the planet to duke it out for control of the artifact.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?
Optic!!! Neural implants...oh you want something abit more in line with our lifetime. The only things i see within the future is Walk in Stations done and we all forget about XP.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
I really would like to see the walk in station. the teasers they leaked out the amount of time and effort we have spent in character customization. yeah i know so very carebear like who still wants to see CCP truely set the mother ships apart from what they are now to what they should be.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
CCP failing to keep their word on a project they have said they will implement the benefits everyone except for a group within the game.

EVE is the platform by which the nations of the world will base their future space exploration on. I for one am looking forward to the day ORE and Roden Shipyards become actual LLC's. My biggest fear is that our governments will recreate the wheel. WHY! CCP has pointed you in the right direction Capitalism will see its day in the vacuum of space... ~ Jaded Felix ~

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?
I foresee the future of EVE to repeat the past and present. This game is moved by human minds, and humans are creatures of habit. While ships, weapons, tactics and strategies will assuredly change over time, the cycle will repeat. We will watch the birth, the rise, the peak and the fall of great alliances and empires in war. Just as we have in the past. We will see individuals become instantly famous for some great failure or success or intrigue, just as we have in the past. This is not a bad thing, repetition here is never cut and dry. Thousands of people will be involved and effected. EVE will be ever changing as a game, but EVE will always be the same as a universe rich in history. History the players create...and repeat.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
One of the worst things I feel is in this game is POS's. I think they serve a great purpose, but their mechanics are...clunky. I would like to see the modules attached to the tower like our primitive International Space Station. I would like to be able to dock to it on an extended arm or something. But leave the ship visibly attached. Much of the functionality was made easier with a universal inventory GUI, but I think more could be expanded with POS mechanics. I feel as if they have been neglected and any work on those is work I really look forward to. As for the why? Because I live out of one.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
I fear the cessation of grand attempts at new things. I don't feel like DUST took off like everyone wished it to. But no one can look at that project and say it wasn't a daring attempt at something unseen before. CCP may not have had as much success as they desired, and I fear that that may create a second guessing on future big projects. I want CCP to continue thinking big, not fear failure.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?
Hope even better than now, but trully I already don't have IRL time to test everything already.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
Have a beer with corpmate in station corp pub Big smile
more seriously game is great this way, little cosmetic changes as personnalised ship texture will be great, but that's only cosmetic.
Going into new jobs as tatooing or clothes manufacturing or even paint schema could be fun.
It's useless, but everything useless is essential Blink

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
That an alliance block will finally dominate all null sec...I'm free and want to stay free without being the pet of anyone.
Simplification of the game that will lead to more less interesting people.
Eve is rich and complex, keep it this way.

1. EVE will be an immersive universe that is more dynamic and engaging with people gathering for Live Events and player generated content.
2. Looking forward to when thing will be scaled in terms of size and it will feel like we are actually flying the gigantic behemoths that we know we are.
3. I'm worried that the community will be the demise of EVE

Since starting playing EVE as a beta tester, I have done a few things in real life.

Bought a house with my girlfriend
Travelled a bit.
Got Married.
Travelled a bit more.
Got into Photography
Had a baby.
Didn't play EVE quite so much.
Sold some photos.
Had #2 son.
Played EVE more....

What will the next ten years have in store for us?
No more bloody kids that's for sure!
Who knows by 2023 we may actually see Jove systems open up ;-)
As long as there are internet spaceships, pew-pew, and the occasional beer-centric player meet up I will be a happy bunny.

I still love EVE over a decade later, its probably the real reason why computers were invented if I am honest.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?
more space and ground interactions, available in all platforms and consoles, "portals" to other worlds (other games or sub games)

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?
multi boxing will be forbidden, if this is really an elite game requiring skillz, cheaters are no more.
Kilrathis added as playable race.It has been said since ages that one day Cats will rule the galaxy, time to make it real.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?
CCP bought by a company worshipping the gods of marketing & bullshit, eve dies, one shot.

1. What will be the game be like in the future?

A game that I play any time, anywhere on any device. A game that is fully integrated with DUST, WoD, and other game to come, e.g. Planetary Interaction as game on its own, etc. A game that offers 3D, specialised devices options, like Oculus rift, virtual reality suits, etc... a game that I can bring with me inside my watch and my mobile with companion applications.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?

DUST integration will create opportunities for some of the above options, will add new game mechanics and more fun. It will create major business for the manufacturing/transportation/logistics industry due the high usage of DUST supplies/modules/vehicles.
Walk in stations and walk in cities (planets) will further enhance the interaction with other players and will create social opportunities and a new types of businesses, e.g. shops, alternative markets, more opportunities for smuggling and doing illegal stuff, including assassinations.

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?

I fear that large corporations, just like in the real world gain too much power. This must be prevented, allowing small corporations to raise and challenge, always.

The future of eve rests in fluctuating security and sovereignty. I see the empires of today becoming receded and their rule taken over by players.

1. What will be the game be like in in the future?

I'm hoping station atmosphere is finally decontaminated.

2. What feature am I looking forward to and why?

Breathing in stations. Still waiting for that air decontamination...

3. What is my greatest fear for the game?

My greatest fear is EVE not really expanding and instead rehashing the same content over and over.

In the near future our space barbies will be able to do a crip walk down to the Dusties lounge while wearing the latest in NEX store apparel. Upon arriving they will be able to join in on the /dance1 emote party and trade isk for "sexy shows". Afterwards, you'll be able to go back to your station cell to look at your aurum bought pink Megathron. If you get bored of that you can do the funky chicken emote over to the big screen thing which will display promo blinks for SOMER 2.0.

In 2018 the name of the game will be officially changed to EAvE and accelerated skill training will be sold for PLEX. World of Darkness will also be intergrated into EAvE that same year with a backstory that the Jove are really just smart vampires. The crush of enthusiastic nerds worldwide will take it's toll on the servers and as a parting move Tuxford sets off mentos bombs in the server farm and EAvE dies.

The End

EvE Online has evolved in the first decade to a game that sounds like the gallente racial description: Love it or hate it, you can't ignore it. A game with less than a million players gathering as much attention as the quote, "big name games" is an impressive feat unto itself.

EvE's future is brighter than ever before - 10 years old and more stable than an Abaddon, the game is on the edge of reaching a broader audience by being unique and challenging, not simple-minded and generic. As the world of the MMO continues to evolve, those creations with no competition will survive and grow. EvE is surely among them.

Learn. Build. Change. Conquer. EvE Online's competitive nature in-game has begun to affect the real world market. It's not ganking, it's capitalism at its finest. As a Caldari player...I can appreciate that. It's just...good business.
