I have linked the prior forum posts on the matter that I could readily find. Obviously, this is not a new thought. In its simplest form it involves two basic things. 1) making shares contractible for any ingame item not limited to, but including isk. Not allowing them to be traded is fine with me. Just make them contractible. This will provide both a secure method of transfer and a record of the transaction. 2) Divide the shares into two forms; Internal and external. You can call them whatever you like. The current shares (internal)would continue to exist as tools for voting and would retain thier dividend function, but could only be issued to active corp members AND would lose there functionality once the shareholder left the corp. External shares would have no voting option and would not be deactivated by leaving a corp. Otherwise they function as 'normal' shares. There you go, problem solved. We will take care of the rest.

CCP is aware that there is a strong desire for this mechanic. There is no need for CCP to do anything other than this in order to open the door to a true secondary market. So unless players being able to pool their money into functional funds on a vast scale bothers them, then there is no reason to not do this. Honestly, the academic community would be all over this. Hell it might add to CCP's bottom line. IF a fund some how 'went rogue' and used its wealth to destabilized the market the solution would be the same one we have always used: Guns.

I want a bigger sand box, CCP. I need more sand.
