Failed to download update for EVE Online launcher

This morning I started up EVE and tried to update it. The update failed at 15% of step 2 (I think) with some long crash dump that unfortunately is not in my clipboard anymore. After trying everything I could think of, I uninstalled and reinstalled EVE. The download and install went fine, but now I'm back in the launcher and it just says that it can't download the launcher update. I am behind a firewall, but I've added exceptions for EVE and had no problems before (Even without any exceptions). Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

Ok, this may be the weirdest solution to a problem ever. I disabled my Ethernet adapter and let it download over the wifi and it worked just fine.
