I am seeing this exact same problem also, tested on multiple alts.
Also have checked with corp mates, all having the same issue as described here.

I've watched this, but I couldn't really dive into detail due to uncertainty of when we could do something on bounties/killrights.

The situation here, is heavy load. Essentially it requires a fair bit of programmer time to get right (and there is only one who currently knows the system well enough to take this on) and with Rubicon we have had other features for the expansion prioritized over maintenance/other stuff.

That being said, Tuxford has almost completed that work, and this week I have begun testing it. I will be finishing the testing in a mass test this Thursday on Singularity. You can take part if you want, and provide feedback from your experiences there.

So tl;dr, this should be fixed for Rubicon.

Nice!

Now just a small comment, how is it possible that something this new can be swept under the rug so fast and then end up as something hard to fix? It's reminiscent of the POS code problems, only that this was a completely new feature added recently and we've already ended up on the wrong side of things. It's been almost 1 year since Retribution, it's just wrong implementing new features and leaving them to rot because new stuff must be released. I thought you guys made it clear that you would iterate on everything, especially when something you added recently is broken.

Simply put, risk and prioritization.

Is this not something that is extremely worrying ... Only one person in the business that knows the system well enough to work on it.

Slightly concerned that if for whatever reason Tuxford was to leave the company then this entire system could quickly become another legacy code issue.

Say "Hi!" to Bus factor: 1 .

I really hope that you take care of this dev, and hired a bodyguard for him (and a tank instead of normal car).

Taking EvE related comparison: it's almost like undocking rookie ship with 6 plexes in Jita and hoping that "nothing wrong happens" and "noone will notice" ....

Maybe I was bad with words. Any programmer could have done this, it was just that Tuxford had already examined the problem and decided upon an approach to deal with it so that it was able to be prioritized and estimated. This would have taken a programmer a day or two to do this, before even getting it into a teams backlog. If you're unsure of agile development, you're welcome to talk to me any time at EVE Fanfest.

As for my (not so big) experience agile development is not a best thing in a system with big amount of legacy code and few people with knowledge about it ;) (you constatnly have to choose if you want to have a problem being fixed quickly(quicker) or slowly(slower) but with possible increase in bus factor (team expertise)).

All in all good luck guys !:)

Devs know about it, acknowledge it's a problem, are fixing.
Just be patient, wait, and it will be fixed.

This will be awesome when fixed, think of it as "a feature"!

Anyone else seeing this? Happening again today - can see people with the KR icon in selected items if I scroll up and down overview, open up overview settings and I have tags and a background configured for it but it's not showing in overview, then I turn the colourtag off and on again without changing anything else, and a few seconds later they change colour in overview and it continues working at least for that session - but on a later login it'll be broken again.

Yea it definitely is wonky. The other day I killed a guy with the tag, then a good 10 min later I come back and he is still marked as being KR - so I track him down and find that the marking is wrong - cant activate the kr or shoot him. I have also what the op is describing many times.
