Epic Missions

I have been thinking of trying out the Epic missions.

I know there is the Sisters of Eve which should be rather easy compared to the other ones.

So, was wondering if they are worth doing. Especially the sisters if eve one. I run L4s in a Sniper Rokh and can complete any mission so far very easily... Usually never going under 98% shields.

1. Are they worth doing overall?
2. Is the Sisters mission arc worth doing given I am running L4s.
3. Can they be done solo with a sniper or am I supposed to have like 9,000 carrier pilots?

I do care about isk, but also am big on improving my sec status and my gallante federation faction.

SOE arc is soloable, the faction boost is good because you can pick the faction, BUT its a very long mission chain and the rewards aren't great. If you're doing level 4's now, then the only reason to go back to do SOE is just for the sake of doing it. If you want to get standings with a particular faction you're better off just picking one of their corporations and doing regular missions.

The nice thing about epic arcs is that unlike storylines, the standings boost doesn't incur a derived standings boost/hit with other factions, but again, the SOE epic arc doesn't give you much. The lvl-4 epic arcs on the other hand give you a significant boost.

Each faction has a particular corporation you need +5 with to start the faction's storyline. Example: you need +5 with Impetus to start the Gallente epic arc, Expert Distribution for Caldari, etc.

Oh I didn't know about needing the faction standing. Currently am 9.2 fed navy and 3.81 with Gallante Federation.

Guess I better go grind some faction then! Well, after I work on the all important The Scope faction!

Corp standing of 5.0.
Not Faction standing.
It's just the same requirement as a lvl 4 mission needs.

I'll just chime in to add that the SoE Epic Arc is a series of level 1 missions, the cash rewards are laughable, you won't get any Loyalty Points either, but the standing boost towards your chosen faction in the last mission is substantial : +8.75%.

I did the entire arc in roughly 10 hours mostly AFK in an Algos, there was only one mission where I had to turn on my Armor Repairer.

It's also repeatable every three months, good for balancing Standings between all four Empires.

That's actually pretty decent, especially if you're low to a particular faction. I just recall the mission chain being SO long. The empire chains aren't as long but the missions are more challenging, so maybe they take the same amount of time depending on how well you can do them. +12.0% is super cool.

Each of L4 Epic Arc chains has one or two big finale kind of missions where incoming damage and difficulty is significantly higher than on most difficult regular missions. They are all doable though. Eve-survival is your friend.

There are several epic mission arcs in eve:
- Aurora gives you one when you first start out;
- The Sisters of Eve (lvl1) arc that others have mentioned above;
- The two pirate arcs (Angels and Guristas) (Lvl3);
- The four lvl4 arcs, one for each major hisec NPC faction

All the arcs provide good standings boosts for the faction involved ... with the main lvl1 boost depending on your choice at the final diverge point. The lvl4s provide a decent item at the end and a not too awfully terribad amount of isk in the running. The pirate arcs provide a decent (pirate faction) item, part way thru, a pirate cruiser BPC at the end, and pretty good isk for a series of missions you can complete in a frigate.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

some of the level 4 arcs pay out anywhere from 2-10m per mission. SO they are actually quite good at lining your wallet.

Some things to note.

You need 5.0 standings with the corp and or faction of the arc you want to start.

The do more damage then level 4s be smart and bring a buddy to blitz them.

Once started you can go back any time to finish them.

Repeat every 3 months

While you get no lp for the missions you get huge standings gains with the corps the missions are offered from. Most use agents from 3-4 Corps. Might open up some new agents for you.

There are guides out there for just the epic arcs i recommend using one.
