EVE Vegas 2014?

I realize that EVE Vegas 2013 just took place, however I'd like to know if there are plans for a EVE Vegas 2014. I watched the Twitch stream over the weekend and would enjoy attending next year.. and Vegas seems like the best place to hold it.

I live in Canada, and I know they talked about an event in Toronto.. however due to our price gouging airlines in Canada, it's half the price to fly to Vegas than it is to Toronto (not to mention the price difference in hotel accommodations).

I'm still here in Vegas. There talking about it being either the last weekend or 2nd to last weekend in October.

It's the stuff that's not streamed is where the fun is. I came here Knowing nobody made a few friends here plotted the demise of super caps and had a great laugh.

I think the local were scared when a bunch of EVE Nerds hot dropped the Rio. every where you went all you could here was...

"and we jumped straight into a gate camp"

or the mega pilot find this "

and the more we drank the worse it got lol

That's a 34 hour drive!! lol

It costs me $850 via Westjet to fly to Toronto (let alone hotel), my airfare (via Westjet) AND 3 nights at the MGM Grand in Vegas next month was only $600. AirCanada is over $1k to Toronto.

It depends on where you land....its cheaper to fly to Hamilton and take a train....downtown Hamilton - Downtown Toronto is $13:50......ish VIA GO Transit. Hotels vary here and there...

If your interested in attending a Toronto Event. (Plotting an event next year...prolly be a one nighter) Join the ingame channel "Toronto EVE Online" myself or one of the other cohosts could help you!

Alternatively Porter Airlines offer cheap rates too, and they operate from Toronto island Airport....a round trip from Toronto to PEI or NFLD costs around $350-400!

Sorry for all the name swapping (^&%$&^ 10 hour termination timer), it's still me lol.

Yeah, I'll consider it. I'll join the channel just to get a glimpse of what's going on, and possibly chat with some other Canucks. I still look forward to a Vegas event though.

I'm a complete noob to EVE but from what I've played so far I've really enjoyed. The solace of just quietly mining. The one time I stumbled onto a wormhole I was so nervous and creeping around cautiously.. instantly got me hooked on the game. Beats the mindless grinding of WoW.

I just got home from the EVE Vegas event. For those who are thinking about it; it is definitely worth going to. I highly recommend attending this event in the future. You will drink a lot, meet new people, drink a lot, learn from the presentations, drink a lot, and have great fun. If you didn't catch the underlying thread...you will drink a lot. Big smile

This has me charged up to try to attend the Fanfest in Iceland in 2014.

A big thanks to everyone who made this happen. It was great.

After watching some of the presentations on Twitch.tv, I'm in sorta a planning mode as of now for next year!! I think from what I saw it would be fun to meet my fellow pilots!!

I would love it if EVE Vegas became a regular thing. Been saving up to go to Vegas anyway, combining it with the EVE event would be absolutely amazing :D
