Actually it kinda looked like "lets block off more actual game real estate with this massive solid UI you can't really see through". Not sure if want.

I couldn't find the speedometer on it.
It looks cool but it also looks more irritating, as I'm not really sure what parts of it are supposed to be clickable. The buttons were much less obvious.

I think the speed is @ 0430 o'clock and shows 230m/s in the linked image... if I read the blurry image correctly :D

I do wonder how one would go about setting speed though...

Horrid. It's actually harder to work out what's going on; why are you replacing my nice big cap circle with a drawing of a manticore? I really don't understand where the manticore came from.

No wonder they don't touch anything with this game.. Anything they attempt to change is always hit with people that hate change for no real reason other than it has changed..

Wrong. Anything they attempt to make worse is always hit with people asking why they make it worse. It has nothing to do with change — only with reducing functionality.

Ok, maybe they're not trying to do that, specifically, but it is what they're doing.
