What is most important on a videocard, Memory Bandwidth, Texel Rate, or Pixel Rate.

Say if i run 10x or more accounts, does it matter if my videocard has 2gb video memory or 4gb? Will it run better with more videoram?

for example i am in the market for a new videocard, Nvidia has 7950 3gb version, and that has a faster memory bandwidth than 760 or 770. Will i see a massive improvement from 2gb vram to 4gb vram and will it stop the lag?

looking for your suggestions

We'll before my 7970 I used 2 gts 250s 512mb running 12 ice miners, was completely fine. I use a sapphire 7970 2gb with a bulldozer 8 core now and have ran 15 clients at max settings with ease. Not really sure if it's video are or CPU.

I don't think VRAM would be an issue, TBH.

I'd focus more on having enough RAM to run the clients as only the one you have currently active will actually use VRAM.

If you're alt-tabbed out of the client it won't use any VRAM as there is no video feed to display, basically.

Then again, I'm theorycrafting as I don't multibox.

I have 24 accounts and anyone time I will be using 6-11 actively for mining, cyno, scouts. I found the best option was to lower all settings save one pvp client and optimise settings for memory. Eve isn't demanding really but unless you have a decent amount of ram you can have problems. I currently have 16gb and an amd 8350 and an amd 7950.

But if you want a way to manage all if your accounts easily then private message me and I'll show you a handy legal tool that isn't isboxer.

How good of a video card you need depends on what you setup the the displays for. If you only run 2 monitors, either one works. eyefinity setup with six monitors, then you definately want the 3 or 4gb one. The most important thing will however be RAM, 5 clients need close to 12gb to run smoothly, with 10, aim for atleast 32gb in your computer for it not to lag.

As already mentioned, more RAM. Only upgrade the videocard if you have multiple monitors set up.

This is really bad advice. No offense.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

my buddy runs the GTX 760 i think it is, its about a 700.00$ graphics card he said he was able to run x14 accounts all on highsettings plus run SCII, and Crysis 3 all at one time.

i use crossfire 7970s, currently at 7 accounts on 6 monitors. in crossfire they have mirrored 3GB of RAM and share the processing load. they normally stay (self)throttled to 1 card.

also using SSD drives, 32GB RAM... i hear intel might be the better choice for CPU

fast RAM at least 16GB. I would suggest you get a few SSD drives and create a few installs to spread the I/O.

of course you will need a decent ISP with fairly low latency to the server for best results.

personally I think your overdoing it but whatever floats your boat

I found that the bottleneck was actually my hard drive. Switched to a SSD and EvE runs multiple clients smoothly as silk.
