So missiles are looking awesome in space? I guess not...

Dear CCP devs,

I have repeatedly heard CCP people in video broadcasts talking about how awesome missiles are looking in space, if I remember right last time in the presentation of the upcoming expansion. Seeing targets exploding about 2 seconds before the actual missile impact, what I not consider as a slight delay, is actually not that awesome. It ruins the show.

If it's for any reasons not possible to fully synchronize the two events then the least would be to make sure the missiles impacting *before* the damage notification, everything else just looks ridiculous.

Btw. I am experiencing this with cruise missiles. It's not a performance issue, because the delay is pretty constant with low and high graphic settings. GM's told me that they cannot do anything about it and redirected me to the forums.

Kind regards,

You should see what happens when you run it with maximum velocity and hydraulic rigs. Twisted

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

There are many problems with missile animations and or damage application (like damage start to be applied only after 2nd volley(animation) hits the target doing 2x alpha on target). But in your case it might be possible that you fire another volley of missiles before previous hits and finishes your target effectively wasting ammo and time. In that case you'll see missiles in space after target is already dead. Extra volley is not a bug, but an intended mechanic of weapon platform with delayed damage application.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

Nah even when it is the killing volley there is still a second or 2 difference between death and missile impact, and i think it also happens with turrets as well to a lesser extent. The easiest fix for this would just add a second or 2 delay to the explosion animation.

I can`t stand this new missile effects i turn them off every time i fly a missile boat, the old ones where way better even through they were made way way way back in the day .
They look like now a days missile we have on earth no sci fi feeling, nothing.

For a game set in universe where ships are powered by plasma/ion/gravity or what ever making missiles look like they are using 50 years ago chemical rockets its annoying.

Bring the old ones back,
