2.7.0 BETA 1 (Odyssey 1.1.0) released

Notes:
-No more features will be added to 2.7.0
-This beta always runs portable: It will automatically copy your default settings (settings does not include profiles AKA any data from the API) to the beta directory. You can manually copy the profiles directory to the beta directory, for a full import.
-NOT compatible with 2.7.0 Dev Build 2. Compatible with everything else...

New Features:
-New Tool: Wallet Journal
-New Tool: Tree (Assets by location or category)
-Tool Views (Save/load column presets - works with export as well)
-Added manufacturing to Isk and Tracker tools
-Added Export to Materials, Ship Loadouts, and Overview tools
-Export: Html formatting and in game browser links (both optional)
-Export: Use table sort order
-New Assets/Tree/Overview column: isk/m3 (Contributed by Saulvin - Thanks!)
-Stockpile: Advanced filters (Multiple locations/owners/containers/flags)
-Added tags to the Asset and Tree tools
-Use base price for PBOs (Optional tech 1/tech 2)
-Stockpile: Added transactions (Items bought/sold after last asset update)
-Stockpile: Now accepts decimals (always rounded to ceiling)

Changed:
-Export greatly improved

Bug Fix:
-Stockpile shopping list could count the same item multiple times
-Stockpile: Editing items would leave duplicate items

Nevermind, figured it out, works like a charm.

The ingame mails had me confused because you get those a month before the actual payment occurs =)

Long story short: I'm a moron.

No problem, you thought you saw an error and was kind enough to report it, that is all that counts really... Big smile

It's just a bonus I do not have to fix it P

Heyho,

love your program but have a question.

I am a Trader and want to use the Stockpile for my shopping list.
I have set the location where i have my stash with all the items (in normal hangar and in a container. But when i update eveassets it does not show me my actual stockings. It says that i have no items in my hangar and have to buy everything. Where is the Problem?

If you set container rule, it will only include items in that container, nothing else...
Set container to: "All"
And possible flag to "All"
...will probably fix it (It's hard to say without seeing the stockpile rules)

Not everything is possible with the stockpile tool in 2.6.3

If you want, you can try the latest beta, it offer a lot more flexibility for stockpiles (Multiple locations/owners/containers/flags)

for 2.7.0 this is how the rules work:
Must match one of the containers and one of the flags and one of the owners and one of the locations

It's not perfect, but, it's a lot better than 2.6.3, where only one flag/container can be matched...

For 2.7.0 your rules would be as follow:
[Container] "Station Container #XXXXXXXXX"
[Container] "None"

That would match the container and the hangar...

I hope you find this useful. If not, please, reply here again. I will try to help the best I can...

No problem. Those are filters, not stockpile rules (I know it's a bit confusing, sorry...)

1) Press the "Stockpile" button (To the left of the stockpile name in the table)
2) Select "Edit"
3) This shows the stockpile edit dialog - this is where you need to set container and flag to "all" - and possible owner.

Let me know if that fix it for you...

Assets update every 6 hours? =(

Do I have to be in the Region to get the asset update correctly with the current amount in the market?

@Echutar
Asset update times are set by CCP, nothing I can do about that. I suggest you ask the CSM if you want it to change (it used to be a lot longer, though). If you update before that (via sneaky tricks) you will just get a cached result AKA no new data.

Your location in game does not matter for the API jEveAssets uses - unless you're in space (I think).

I'm unsure what you mean by "current amount in the market"???

If by any chance you mean your own Buy/Sell orders included in your stockpile:
1) Go to stockpile edit dialog (just like before)
2) Check "buy orders" and "sell orders"
...if not, please explain what you mean! :)

Hi,

I have one question :
Is there a way to reset the tracker tool without reinstall the program ?

I used an api limited to 1 of my 3 characters at first, I just added the others and the tracker show at this date a huge spike in ISK under the "grand total' which is fine and logical but I'd prefer have a clean start.

Other than that, i'm really impressed by the quality of your tool, props and thanks !

@Fereval Kondur
Yes (but, It may take a bit of time, if you got a lot of data points):
1) Double click on the data point (in the chart)
2) Select "Delete"
3) Repeat until you got a "clean start" Big smile

I hope this fix you problem, if not, please reply here again and I'll try my best to help you! :)

I love this tool.

But I'm having a brain cramp -- if I put a Plex in a station container, the reported value evaporates from the Assets, Overview, etc tabs. Is this by design?

@Vixxaeva
That is not "by design"

It's one of two things:
1) A bug
2) ...or you put it in a container you do not own (ex: a corporation container) - your API only returned items you own - not items your corporation owns.

I will look into it and report back... :)

EDIT:
I could not spot any errors in the code. if you could please confirm that you own the container, I will take another look....

(Sorry for the ambiguous post -- I get all warm an tingly in inside when strangers ask me about bugs in my code that don't exist )

Your #2 scenario was correct. Here is what happened.

- Have multiple accounts and characters
- Created corp key with one character / account.
- Tested jEveAssets with it to see if it did what I wanted.
- Assigned CEO to a different character / account.
- Didn't realize that the corp key became invalidated

When updates would run, jEveAssets would report errors, but the details were just HTTP 403 which can be anything. Ultimately, the problem existed between the keyboard and chair. After re-creating the corp key with the new CEO character / account, everything re-appeared. Thanks for the quick reply and clue needed to figure this out.

@Vixxaeva
I appreciate bug reports, valid or invalid.
Unreported bugs may never get fixed, so rather a bug report too much, then a bug report too little...

The lovely new system CCP build with HTTP responses, is the worst thing to happen to the API in a long time IMHO.

Anyway, It's great you resolved the problem and that I do not have to fix any bugs today :)

I have downloaded the Beta version .
And I have tried it for sme time
And it does not work .. or I am too stupid to understand the inticrate brains of the creators

In short ; the attempt is good ..but the result is **** !

There has been the programe U refer to as being ur inspiration : It DEIVERED on the Task

I used uit before as Asset manager and I delivered ..

There has been another GREAT programe ..unsurpassed . by a german Guy .. which worked

unfortunately he has got tired of playing EVE

Your programe does not work ( or I am to stupid ..to use it )

I have been sitting all day .. n meticulously enetered every ship there is

in the Stockpile list ...

( so so ) .. to FIND ..when I open the programe again : Everything GONE

this is UNPROFESSIONAL !. At least U could xplain how to save work done.

Time is TOO SHORT ..for everything else

@Ulf Raben
It sounds like it did not save the settings before exiting AKA jEveAssets was closed incorrectly,,,

However, this is NOT a professional program - this is something I do in me free time, for my own enjoyment.
And I offer it free (free as in freedom) to everyone.

I understand bugs can be frustrating, but, it's no reason to be rude IMHO.
Feel free to send a bug report
Or even better fix it yourself: source code!

...if you do not like it, please, do not use it! P

EDIT:
I guess, I ended up being a bit rude myself, which is not quite fair, as you lost all your hard work. Oops
Anyway, I really hope you send the bug report, so none else have to experience the bug you encountered.

EDIT 2:
I'm going to implement a new save strategy, that save every time something is changed (Instead of the current, save-on-exit + save-on-api-update). I have to test how much performance it cost, before I can fully commit to it. But, losing data is not acceptable!
I'm really sorry you lost all your hard work :(
