Where the hell are new missile effects???

Ya know......

I realize Eve is a pretty in depth game....

I also realize that CCP is doing a lot of work for better graphics and immersion at the moment......


But seriously....

New missile effects were mentioned back when when new turret effects were mentioned.

Now, I would have figured it wouldn't be any harder than turret effects, because the effects are already half way done.

Launchers don't need to orient towards the target like turrets....

Missile effects are already in the game, they just need to be buffed so to say....



But I mean seriously.....Is anyone even working on them, or were they put on the back burner?

Hell, are they even on the stove anymore????

I've heard nothing on new missile effects since turret effects came out, and nothing has been mentioned since then...


I mean, CCP, you're doing a much better job now, but it seems ya'll like to skip around on your priorities...

With the new server settings that adjust as effects and ships start to show up, I'd figure that new missile effects would be perfect to release with this to effectively test the servers.

But that's just me..... But I really want something new and pretty to watch...

Maybe a reason to set the camera closer to my ship and actually watch cool stuff happen...


Maybe I'm just QQ'ing to some of you, but I'm one of those types that says

"If it's gonna be a while before I see it, then don't mention it and get me all excited."

Just saying....Thanks for listening to my rant

This would be a great moment to update the effects.

put the warp effect op the missiles(rippling effect)

You'd be wrong.

Just off the top of my head, there are plenty of hurdles to overhauling missile effects:

- Designing missile launcher pods. Are they turrets, or are they fixed?
- If they're fixed, missiles need to be coded to launch in one direction from the ship, then turn onto their target.
- Remodelling ships like the Drake, which has missile pods built into the model.
- How on earth do you do make torp launcher pods appropriate for battleships and stealthbombers?
- What do you do with missile groups? Currently a group is essentially one missile with the damage and hp of several. Launching a volley of missiles from distinguishable launchers will need a new way of handling groups.
- If each missile in a group is distinguishable, the effect on server performance of 20 Drakes firing missiles suddenly becomes more like 140 Drakes firing missiles.

Also, learn to write.

Lol, yeah. Everything is so bright on the test server(stars and suns and whatever else) that you can barely see ur ship.

But it still looks pretty
