I wish to join a pirate gang. (preferably Angel Cartel, Serpentis ect...) However, I heard that the pirates defend their territory with zeal. The question is, how do I join a pirate group?

You can't really 'join' pirate NPC. You can however run missions for the faction of your chioce, however to do that you need to go and seek out agents in the pirate NPC controlled 0.0 space. Other than that, your best hope would be to find a play run corp that roll plays and is 'associated' with your NPC pirate faction of choice

What Chessur said is also right. You can't join the Cartel or Serpentis. You could find a player run corporation that aligns with the pirates but...not much else.

Scope is a placeholder NPC corp for people not in player corporations. Scope is a bit more active than other NPC corps, as we organize missions, mining, indy stuff blabla. Lately, I've been organizing the pvp wing which basically has us going out and PEWPEWPEWPEWing all the things regardless of sec status. We even have a nice reimbursement program going!

The Scope is a play on "scoop." See definition #10 here http://www.thefreedictionary.com/scoop

The Scope is a news corporation filled with reporters, undercover investigators, publishers, blah blah blah blah, all of which means nothing to gameplay, its just another NPC corporation that has a few stations and agents. Its part of the Gallente Federation.

If you get very high standings with a pirate faction, will they not attack in belts or on gates unless provoked?
