So Yitterbum, how are MjD Marauders supposed to work wth on-grid Command ships?

When you remove the ability to off-grid boosters?

In your infinite wisdom, and clearly vast "internal testing", must have envisioned a situation in the near future when the off-grid booster is removed.

You keep saying that Marauders are now designed to jump 100 km and fight for optimal effectiveness, and with the bastion module, no one need logi anymore in incursions, or L5's, or wh's, or even in PvP.

So pray tell, are Marauders getting a 100 km range on reppers, or are CS's getting a MJD?

More likely, CCP should revisit some of the silly restrictions on incursions (and other PVE content) in light of recent rebalances and new metas.

Not entirely sure about this....but when micro jump drive was added in it was called "Large Micro Jump Drive" I would assume it was named that in the event they needed to add a Medium and Small. It is possible they may give Mediums out to use on CSes. Of course this is 100% speculation lol

Well, we all know the answer.
All the comments by CCP and their fanbois about how Marauder fleets will will be so much better because you won't need logi is utter bullshit.

And for those that say "well you won't need boosts because you are shooting at distance", try again. It is impossible for a 10 ship fleet to nail every ship before it is in range to hit. The NPC's will get close to you, you will need boosted webs, and you WILL need a boosted tank.

Don't think you grasp the concept. Numerous dev's have stated they are slogging through code to force all boosters on grid.
So now the command ship is on grid with the Marauders.

CCP has stated, along with all their drooling fanbois, that Marauders will actually work better in group PvE, because they can spin up their MJD's, jump 100 km, and fire at range at their targets. And Marauders won't need logi support anymore, because not only can't they use it in Bastion mode, but Bastion mode tank eliminates the need for logis.

But what happens to the command ship. Sure, the Marauders fit large reppers good to about 9 km.
And then the Marauders jump, and the command ship is all alone, with no one repping it.
And please don't suggest that a command ship can fit a tank, plus boosters, plus enough cap, to solo tank a L5, or incursions, or sleeper DPS.

I don't expect CCP to respond to this, frankly.
There is zero chance they have thought this far ahead.

Is this 'New Marauders ruin Incursions' thread four or five from you?

You still have logi, the marauders just don't need it as badly as the rest of the fleet.
The devs won't respond because you don't care what they say.

Then don't fly/use marauders? Or don't use MJDs? Or go find a new EVE Career? Or have you not thought of anything but your precious ISK/hour here?

Wow so many tears about OGB's...ever flown without being OGB'd? Try it sometime, you might actually learn something about the ships.

Try not to troll CCP in your posts and you'll find other peoples attitudes to you change OP. State your idea\problem and your intended solution thinking about how it could be abused\exploited and then post up in a constructive and community orientated manner.

You'll get more feedback than just posting up these rants of "CCP touch me in the OGB" ShockedSmile

so, bastion mode makes a logibro unnecessary for a minute, and they're popping MJD every 3 min (right?) going off 100km "forward".

Logi can reach out to ~70k (according to EFT -> large Remote Shield Boosters on a Basi). so, it's pretty simple to get a layout that keeps a Marauder (or however many) in range of logibros for the cooldown, and still allows them to MJD around as needed)

(M) -----(~50KM) ----- (logibro + CS) ------( ~50KM)-----(MJD destination)

(assuming I haven't completely forgotten geometry) This makes a sphere of ~523,598 cubic kilometers centered on the CS/logi that a MJD Marauder can fly around in while still getting their benefits.

Every time a Bastion cycle ends, the MJD will be ready. But otherwise correct.

Yitterbium's recent post regarding marauders leads me to believe you can mjd while in bastion. Course I could be reading it wrong, but that would sorta turn your argument upside down if its correct.

There are other advantages to Marauders - internal play tests have shown us than kitting through the MJD bonus is very effective, as NPC warp scramblers don't stop you from using it. Plus their tank is good enough not to require Logistic support. "
