What to do in game, back at least for a bit from a 2.5 year break.

I honestly doubt if anyone remebers who I am that still plays, but I am kinda at a loss at what to do. I dont need any isk, I got a bit lucky on my speculation when i quit 2 years ago, and suffice to say i could buy a mothership or whatever atm. I have done blob warfare for years, and pirate small gang stuff as well for years. I am curious as to how the lag and the time dilation fixes 100s vs 100s fleet fights now. I am not totally convinced however, that is what I want to do in game. Can anyone tell me what has changed in the last 2.5 years, like just a bullet point list. I am just completely lost. The UI is really getting wierd, but the game doesn't seem to have changed much. Door is still locked, and I cant tell if there is anything major changed like wormhole space addition. Also did CCP ever do anything really interesting with PI or is it just more complicated spreadsheets online. Thanks in advance.

TLDR: What does a bittervet have as options as a playstyle in game atm, that don't revolve 100% around making isk, and dont require me to sit in a pos forcefield next to a titan for 30 hours a week. Please include any you can think of. Thanks!

I am in the same boat and wondering the same things. I WANT to come back and play Eve but every time I log on I just stare at the screen for a while, log off and play Skyrim or something. After all the years of playing, leading a corp, doing the blob warfare, sov holding, piracy and most other things in Eve I am struggling for a reason to bother, its been skillqueue online for over a year and Id really like to get on with some spaceships but in a casual way, something adventurous and new... Sadly after all these years Eve just isnt offering anything right now.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

PI is still the same, although IMO the spreadsheets are way easier than those for actual manufacturing. They'll let you blow up hisec pocos starting next month.

The small gang metagame has shifted heavily after tiericide. Lots of ships are different, including just about all of the t1 ships as well as about half of t2 ships. T1 frigs/cruisers are stronger, BCs got toned down a bit, and the battleships were balanced across tiers.

The scanning interface got revamped (sensor overlay in space and probe formations) and the hacking/archaeology got replaced with a minigame. Gravimetric signatures were moved into mining anomalies that don't require probes. Ice belts were entirely replaced with such anomalies.

New wardec system. Completely new crimewatch aka criminal flagging system. New bounty system with purchasable killrights and partial payouts based on isk loss inflicted.

new inventory UI, pos private hangars, buffs to player owned outpost manufacturing and research slots.

Well asking in the forums is likely to get you the standard answer.


What you are supposed to do is fit the best ships you can afford and deliver them right into the nearest gate camps so that high exalted style of gameplay (according to the forums) can get its just tribute of KMs and loot.

Chop chop now, the aspergians are waiting.

Ive been on copius killmails and aquired copius killmails already, that carried me through about 4 years of pirating, but now I am really curious what all the non pirate, non 0.0 blobbers are up too. Wondering if theres something else I missed or is new. But thanks!
