I noticed on the test server that you could try out the Golden Egg. You can also rename the old and new pod aswell.
Also the golden one has slightly more HP and few more.

I havnt seen any post on this so thought I'd share.

That's obviously a joke but oh dear lord, cue all the whiny idiots who are going to be complaining about the Golden Pod having better stats even though it makes absolutely no difference in the game at all.

The Golden egg is part of "The Second Decade Collector's Edition" package from CCP. The EVE store is currently down (at least for me it is), so I can't link it.

I don't exactly remember when they introduced it or if it was always available, but I have been renaming my pod after a ship loss for a while now.

As long as 2 large smartbombs can kill it, no need to complain.

Stealth nerf to pod ganking, but also a sneaky way to make more people buy the CE,
because their pods are harder to gank now!

Don't you see it? It's a conspiracy!

I bet they have secretly moved nuclear weapons gigantic smartbombs
to manhattan jita to blow everything up, then they'll blame the capsuleers and here comes
the storyline for rubicon!

I have no idea on earth why it has those tiny differences in stats. No in-game benefit in return for a whole bunch of whine-posts.

HP is affected by skills guys

He's sitting in the "Golden Egg", so his skills should be applied to it (Mechanics, Hull Upgrades, and whatever the Shield one is), giving up to 25% more HP to each (IIRC, been ages since I actually looked at the HP bonus, it's 5%/level right).

The "Capsule" is pulled from the market (or otherwise the default stats).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

The first time I pod someone with a golden pod, im going to run home as fast as I can to tell my mom and bedridden grandparents. Maybe then a recluse in the candy business will let me tour his facility and I can see first hand that he makes confections from the bodies of children.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Hey, I've gotten my pod out in structure before. I'm sure over the course of a couple years there will be at least one person who survived a podding because of the golden pod.

That sounds like a great idea for a movie...
