Amarr & Fweddit Skirmishes

Hi there,

I just made my first EvE PvP video and would welcome your opinions on it (about the video and my piloting alike).

I know the resolution is too low, I'm already trying to find a solution to that issue for my next videos.

The battlereports are in the description, if you want to take a closer look.

So... people need context to derive meaning from what they see.

Without some BR edited into the vid, or comments or something about the fight, we can only make assumptions. As you don't have friendlies on overview, it's only from purple brackets seen in space that we can start to work out what's even happening.

If you were solo, we could attribute all pilot actions of managing positioning & tackling the enemy to yourself, but when we can't tell how many people might be webbing/ewaring the other guys, viewers just can't tell how skillful it may or may not be for you to sized up a particular enemy, and then overcome them, if that's what happens. So it's just an exercise in watching arbitrary 2D fiction, could be something dreamed up for a scifi film, no connection to anything real or true.

Then a couple of minutes in, vs 2 or 3, there's a (basically-unpopulated) watchlist!.. but still plenty more purples in space with you, before the next dozen also arrive to thoroughly eliminate any thought of it being a skillful fight. I have no idea why that Auga recording is worth showing to anyone, except maybe the hostiles were brave or unaware enough to try take on such odds, get a kill and get out.

And with that done, it's obviously near-impossible to tell how you may be performing against any of the subsequent hostiles, because again any logi, ewar or unusual fits in your composition can't be gleaned, so we can only hope your enemy isn't stupid in being baited into taking on impossible odds, and that there's actually some on-grid effort being imparted by both sides. I assume that damaged destroyer in tackle range wasn't aggro'd when it was let live while you all shot a tanky(how unexpected) sleipnir.

Yeah, I know that just adding the battle reports in the description isn't enough. On my next video I'll get a higher resolution and add more text during the fights, so that people can understand what happens.

However, the "plenty" and a "dozen" purples you see, are mostly drones. But again, the poor resolution is to blame for that.

Finally, I never meant this video to show how "super elite" I might be, but to show what the day-to-day fighting in the warzone looks like.

I hope that showing skillful play is something you do aspire to though Smile

And that watchlist filling vs those few targets, that's plenty however you want to define it.

Of course :) I actually like to watch my lost fights the most, this way I can analyse what went wrong. Maybe I'll make a video about that actually, just pointing out all my mistakes and how to avoid them.

Hi, tried watching the video. But it was all blurry, so the context was lost on me.. Sorry!
