Ok... I do like the new look for the login to select your character but can we:

  • Be an animated characters

  • Show full body profile

  • Have information scrolling up of that profile

  • Animated pod or ship (if your in one)

I think that's a good start. Any suggestion?

I'd rather have the devs working on actual ingame things rather than a fluffy login screen.

They have been working on in game things. Where have you been?

I like the idea presented in the OP

I'd rather have bittervets find a new thing to ***** about rather than the same old canned angst.

It might be more than a UI update but actual recoding of the login process on the client side also.

Why waste development time on something you see for barely a few seconds? Or do you actually sit and stare at the login screen?

Thier metrics show, that 100% of players log-in. So it's one of the most used features! Lol

i love this new char selection screen, and +1 to this proposal, however, there is an issue ith it if you use 2 monitors, the ttons are centered, meaning the separation of the two screens land right in the middle of it.

the green line is where the switch is between my two screens: http://s21.postimg.org/sn4urdcp3/split.jpg

it would be nice if it was aligned to the UI wich you can offset already

please make this affected by this setting: http://s2.postimg.org/6l244xgt5/camera_offset.png

It's more to entice hopefully new players to Eve Online. If you look at other MMO games like Tera, Wow, etc, you will see that people will choose those games because they either like how their character looks before they log in to the game and want to admire even if it is for a moment. The fact that you can choose your character before you log in helps you set yourself to tackle whatever you want to do in Eve. They already show you a slightly interactive character when you are creating your toon. I just feel that they can extend that feature when your launching and login to the game.

lots of people spend time sitting on character select. log in traps are a prime example

Lots of alliances when running major ops will have super pilots on login screens, and have them mass login. This is when the super pilots get to enjoy a newly redesigned login screen.

All your characters seem to be distracted by something on the left of your screen.

As a side, how do you biomass a character in the new login screen? I don't see the option available. I am assuming it is nowhere near completed.
