Change effect on MWD

Ever notice how the MWD is (basically) just a beefed up version of a AB? (in terms of visual effects in the game).

But realistically they are two different means of travel.

- The Afterburner makes you travel from A to B at much greater speeds.

- The MicroWarpDrive should 'warp' your ship to a specific location.

Therefore I propose reworking the way MWD work - and either remove them completely from the game and beef up Afterburners, or have MWD present the opportunity to 'warp' over short distances. (e.g. 100km)

Yea but my point being that the MWD doesn't do what the name implies it to do.

So you're proposing gameplay changes that will heavily affect the game because of some flavour-related RP s@#t?

Not necessarily because of RP - at least those weren't my intentions.

I just feel it should work more like a simplified version of a Micro Jump Drive - which yes - would heavily affect the game, but that doesn't necessarily mean it would affect it in a bad way.

What does it mean, simplified? From the looks of it you are basically proposing a variation of MJD that can be fit on all ships, and not just BSs.

When you WARP somewhere, it takes time for your ship to travel
When you JUMP somewhere, you appear somewhere instantly

Micro WARP Drive allows you to travel at a higher rate of subwarp speed
Micro JUMP Drive allows you to appear somewhere instantly

Working as intended
