Its all the rage on the forums, FiS is neglected etc etc. Just read all 8 pages of the CSM minutes and they don't even mention it.

I hope that was the part that was censored, that caused the big fuss. Because Mittens mentions it to the media, other CSM's mention it on the forums, but we get video cards overheating on the front page.

Politics as usual in New Eden.

Tell me you guys at least went to the t t bar on my dime, eh? If it was a sausage party I don't know if I can deal with that.

that summit was about the uproar. not about the future agenda. why don't you actually go check what the regular summit agenda was. you'll find it was pretty much all FiS

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

…because the minutes (and meeting) were about a few key issues that were all the rage four months ago?

you're one of the worst posters on this forum and should feel deep shame for posting this bad thread

Agreed. And currently it is being said that the uproar was because NeX, WoD, and Dust got attention *over* FiS. People are very verbal about it. Especially your fearless leader.

You have entire threads dedicated to how bad what you put on the internet is. I could only ever dream of being as bad at it as you good sir.

You should feel ashamed for posting in a "bad thread" without a legit rebuttal. Because if its so bad you should be able to refute it instantly.

You are a walking contradiction. At least what I say Is consistent; EvE is not dying, CCP is not infallible but is trying to make Eve better, and that their upper management decision are their business.

Hate me all you want.

no, it isnt. the uproar was because of a mixture of rediculous pricing on NEX items, and some rather unfortunate internal messages that were leaked.

the current and ever growing hubbub regarding WiS, and the evidence that eve is stagnating, at best shares an accidental relationship to the previous uproar.

lol at people yelling against the evil NeX and then being mad because prices were high.

stagnating? why? i got alt-move for exploration probes. I got missing DED sites. I got 30-40 new missions. I got new settlers in my lowsec system and fight against them at impossible odds. Interesting in-game developments for me. I am happy.

instead of being baited by the jackass. why don't you just post a summary of the agenda from the regular summits - and how much FiS was discussed. so the rest of us can just go "oh snap!"

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

^^

i think (hope?) the "FiS is being neglected!" concerns will hopefully be addressed by the Tranquility expansion.

peak concurrent users.

theres a rather popular graph showing the trends of pcu over the past several expansions, and how its hit a plateau. i suppose you havent noticed that ccp havent been releasing "server numbers breached!" like they did several times before before quantum rise. thats because there hasnt been any real growth of the eve playerbase since then.

that is why eve is stagnating. the lack of new blood versus an increasing percentage of players either becoming inactive or simply "going through the motions" of playing eve online, which in part (and as has been widely publicised) will have been caused by a lack of interest in iterating the FiS side of eve by ccp as a whole (though, as various CSM members have said, the actual team dedicated to FiS are cool) represents a ceiling that eve has failed to breach as a business enterprise.

that ceiling, if it is not breached by a proper and timely response by ccp itself to revitalise the game and rejuvenate and expand its player base, is going to prove toxic to both game and company in the long run.

that is why i say stagnating. because the indications represent the possibility that eve-which has long been a hallmark amongst MMO's for its innovation and the byzantine complexity of its metagame and ingenuity of its playerbase-may be entering a decline from which it is, generally speaking, unlikely that it will recover.
