MJD rework. Suggestion.

Sorry, i've lost sence after reading of over 250 pages, so do not kick me hard.

One of the main ideas is MJD role bonus to the marauders. In the same time their normal speed will reduce. After a lot of flights in combat sites with my MJDed Dominix, i guess that there will be real problem. When you need make a long flight (between mission gates for example) it will be reeeeaaaaly painfull, because CCP will not give additional med slot to fit MWD or AB.

So, i suggest to make one small, but very important improovement to the MJD usability. Allow player to put destination point in the tactical overlay mode. Ship's computer will calculate trajectory and numbers of jumps. To start series of jumps you need to click on MJD module. So marauder will get another sort of mobility.

OR

Just allow marauder's pilots to choose jump distances 25, 50, 75, 100 kms.

I will suggest what I have seen others suggest: MJD at an angle so that the next MJD puts you right where you want to be +/- 10 km. Triangles man.

I know. I've acted the same. But game's mechanics is not a fly sim.

Or fit an MWD and an MJD.... Hell... if you are missioning, do you really need the MJD to begin with?

I doubt that there will be cap/fit options to put MWD in med slot.
Combat sites are missions too with quite big distances between gates.

Also a lot of people wants to loot and salvage from their marauders. It will be good geometry practice with 48 km range tracktors, meantime triangles have 100 km sides

Agreed, angles on the tactical overlay. Doing triangles is inefficient and never accurate, but if ccp wants us to do it, then at least give the tools to do it accurately rather then guestimating.

Or, MJDs with variable ranges, seems like i saw a thread about this recently. . .

CCP's reasonable answer will be great. Such jump planing in tactical overlay mode is not a a game breaking feauture, it will give more usability, no one will harm :)

this would be a good improvement to the current MJD mechanics. +1
maybe adding a tech 2 module that had this ability

Why not just have it default to 50km if you cancel the jump? (it still goes ahead, but at half the distance)

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

T2 with ranges would be cool.
