Firetails are really bad.

Ships that can easily kill them:

Slicer
Dare Devil
Dramiel

Ships that I haev used to kill them:

Crow
Crusader
Crucifier
Tetsuo Tsukaya
Perkone

Use a Griffin with Minmatar jams and some tackle in the mids with damage drones and some dps in the highs.

A kiting condor can kill the **** out of that firetail no problem. May take a while, but that is ultimately up to how well you fly the ship.

Oh man, ... i've seen that guy, and if he wasn't with his other failfitfiretailbuddy, i would've probably killed him.


Basically, what you need for him is ANYTHING with a web and more than 1km/s AB speed.

Which leads to an obvious counter for that firetail: A Firetail!
