Hmm, someone from CCP told me that I should register Garpa Topographical Survey / GTS as a "fansite" since it's a public tool (like Evemon). I might do this!

Hmmm I was not aware that Evemon was a goon created app.

This does concern me as knowing goons I wouldn't put it past them to use these apps to farm data such as the skills a particular capsuleer has trained or even their current active ship in the case of Evemon or an overview of capsuleer traffic patterns, or planned routes of particular capsuleers they may be hunting in the case of this app.

While I appreciate the effort to enhance the game experience on the part of the developer, because he is goon related I have to question his motives. and what goons may do with data they could acquire.



Sry to tell you this but you're doing paranoia.

They literally don't give a crap about your data mine or whoever else not in their alliance but they let people think so. Only thing they care about is data from whatever capsuleer is their member and alliance data from API to spot badies, and I think they have enough work to do with that without bothering with random dude playing 1 isk data crap.

Plus CCP wouldn't let this happen.

It's on our future feature list for the private version but will probably not ever be released in a public version. There are a few different technical and political reasons for this.

GTS 2.0 was just released to goonfleet. Depending on how much feedback about it I receive from hostile spies in GSF via eve-mail from their mains, it may be released to the public.
