CCP - we need CD timers

Edit... and a bunch of other things listed in the thread need CD timers as well..

Don't forget the reactivation delay on Bomb Lanchers and Cloaks.. those could use timers as well.

Might I add reloading in general, not a huge deal but sometimes it would be nice to know how much longer you have till your weapons are reloaded.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Hate to bring it up, but a WOW-esk CD timer would work well.
Just a darkened out module that is coming clear as the CD/reload runs

As for all these CD Timers they could use the current timer (like the green progress around a module) but colour it orange to indicate cooldown that follows on after the green > flashing red after it deactivates. This would progress around until the CD Timer has finished and returns to a normal module colour when ready to activate again.

we also need some session timers, like when you dock, there should be a timer that for 10 seconds prevents you from undocking.

Uh.. there already is a session timer. You can even have it displayed for you in the upper left corner of the client.

This would actually be a nice feature to have, but probably will wind up being a modest priority.

Since we have an activation timer of a white outline that moves from left to right...

Why not have a red outline that moves from right to left when you are reloading something, or when something has a reactivation delay.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

If you click the module, doesn't it tell you how much time is left?

Yes but if you click it and it's out of CD you use it when you don't want to...see the issue?

A cooldown timer would definitely be nice. If its not possible/easy with current code, how about displaying time remaining as a mouseover tooltip like max range or damage on weapons.

I think (very important) that this is more then a modest priority, I would go so far as to say that if its not with the marauders on nov 19 then it can seriously (serious may be a strong word) gimp their effectiveness. Right now you dont use the MJD until you KNOW you can use it and are set up for it, which means you waste a lot of time waiting to make sure. If the new bonus to marauders is the reduction of the cool down on the MJD, then without the timer your still going to wait extra time so you know its there when you need it.
Maybe a featured fansite could make a glorified egg timer for the ingame browser.

Glad to see this is catching traction.
I feel that cd timers are a big part of Eve that is actually missing.
