Free trail in 2007, and then full account in 2009. Two accounts, never let either lapse.

Not to hijak the OP's thread,

... but I'd be curious...

How many years would you have guessed you would play when you started ? (or maybe "hoped" in relation to other games you had got hooked on in the past? )

I guess I started near May 2009 I took a 2 year break (some accounts active part of the break logging into update skills for first 6 to 8 months of break)

--

I didn't think I'd like a space game much but thought the player driven economy would keep me interested until I accumulated enough in game currency to have it lose it's motivation.

I was pleasantly surprised by the social element and the intelligence of the players I met as I moved through aspects of the game .. and the amazing scale of 0.0 operations with people from throughout the entire world engaged in live events lasting hours .. and days and weeks too in other levels of complete immersion.

It took me more like 2 years to feel like I'd accumulated an in game fortune that made me lose some interest (being able to buy a Titan if I so chose (with aid of corporation with whom I had ties to make that feasible on the non financial side)

---

I'm not sure I'm back for good..... I may have gone through a 5 year phase of immersion in a few games and ready to move back to other recreational and social activities in the Evenings... they won't be as convenient though.

2008.06.23 @ 02:48 Eve time

Had a few months off a couple of times due to lack of Internet funding, probably 6 to 9 months total. Other than that, have stayed active.
