EVE is too bright! (proof videos inside) Please add a gamma option to the game settings

EVE is too bright in my opinion. It's a space game. Space is dark! In dark systems the shape of a ship almost disappeared when looked from some angles. Only the lights on the ship (which look much more vivid then) let you assume there is something. I can remember this looked very very cool.

Also when docked...on a Gallente station I now can see that I'm just sitting in a green box because i can see the ground of the hangar! This was much better before (see the 4 official station hangar videos). Gallente stations felt vast and endless inside when docked.

Arrow But since I know other players don't agree here, a gamma option would solve this for all players. I'll never understand the need for more brightness in this game..but this is not necessary with such an option ^^

can't you just turn down your monitor gamma?

If you think about it, Earth is in space, And I'd say it's quite bright in the middle of the day. Just saying.

while (CurrentSelectedTarget.Status == ShipStatus.Alive) {

     _myShip.FireAllGuns(CurrentSelectedTarget);

}

You would like EVE on mac. So dark and no way to change it. Be careful what you wish for.

I don't have any issue with brightness or gamma outside of EVE. Fiddling around on the monitor every time when I start EVE is not the best solution.

Sure there should be bright places as well. A lot of them.

I'm playing on a Mac. In fact, I first assumed it's an issue of the Mac client that everything is pale, bright and lacks contrast. So I asked a corp mate with PC client to take a screen shot so I can compare. It's the same. No comparison to the hangar videos i posted in my OP.

So question to you: does your hangar view look like the videos? Maybe it's really an issue of my and my corp mates client?

Space is bright. I can tell you never have been to space in RL, scrub.

But it's fairly easy. I have an AMD graphic card and I can just change my gamma in my control panel without touching my monitor. I'm not trying to reject your suggestion, but you have a workaround in the meantime

Yeah I considered this. Should be an app-wise setting...maybe a solution...

There's a few missions where sunglasses are required...

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
