Noober Question: PI, what are PI products useful for?

Are they used in Blueprints/manufacturing?
Can you make ships/ship equipment with them? even ultimately?
How far do the PI resources go ? Level 0-4 is all I could find so far, but are there higher levels of production ?
Can I make rig parts off PI inventory?
Are the parts usable in Player Owned Structure (POS) space stations?
Can the parts be used in POS Research facilities?
Where are markets for PI resources/fabrications? i.e. Jita or Dodixie trade hubs?
Do the products of PI go toward DUST 514 applications at all?
Shocked just really curious what it is all about, as far as what good it is for.

Yes, level 4 PI is directly used to make all POS structures including towers and used to make all the fuel parts aside from the ice products

In addition in being used to make POS things, it's also used to make the components that make up outposts that people setup in nullsec.

Plus a few of them are used in things like fuel blocks, nanite repair paste and the like.

Start stockpiling your PI resources now! When the highsec interbus custom offices go bye bye you can expect a spike in PI prices.

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.
