Ok so i'm a bit new to this (game and forums!)

A bit about me, I had my arm twisted by a friend to come play the game. He sold it to me thru various YouTube Solo PvP Videos (which after a while i began to really enjoy the intensity of the fights) and it really gave me a thirst to want to not only try the game but to really try the Solo PvP side of it.

Alot of reading later and i'm finding out its not as easy as that and i have a lot to learn (not only the dynamics of the game but skills too !)
Now i'm under no illusion that this game has a steep learning curve and i won't be able to just walk out there and kill everyone i meet, but i wanna learn how. A couple of channels i now hang out in (from watching various YouTube vids and linked to them by various players) have become very helpful, plus with the help of my friend (whom incidently decided to 'take a break' after i subbed to the game !!!!!OopsRoll) i have a skill tree path i want to take and have been given ship fittings that i wish to aim for (be it a little bit away).

People have said to me just go out there and learn it solo, which is all fair advice but i'm sure i could learn more from being in a corporation with like minded people at the same time as trying.

So a couple of things i think i'm fter when it comes to a corporation.

  • I'm looking for a corporation that specialises in this kind of stuff and has pilots whom are willing to help a new guy like myself 'learn the ropes' and support me (not with isk, or free stuff. I like to earn my keep) with advice and help.
  • I'm a guy who works 2 jobs and has children so you must not expect a lot from me in terms of these 'call to arms' i have heard of (people really set alarms to log in at silly o'clock to fight someone ?) This is a game not a 3'rd job to me.
  • I would idealy prefer gamers whom are of similar circumstances as myself (be it age, UK/EU timezone etc)
  • I'm willing to try anything that fits into the way i think i would enjoy this game.

I can't think of much more now but i'm sure i will have more questions at a later date.

Thanks

Rapid Withdrawal is a corporation built for veteran players by veteran players. We are looking for mature drama free members. The corporation is based on the word cooperation. If you have been a member of a mega dictator corporation and didn't care for it give us a try. We are looking to build a corporation from the ground up that provides a good gaming atmosphere. A place we can set goals and achieve them together.

Right now we are focused on Faction Warfare (Gallente), and Missions. Once we build a solid foundation. We will branch out into other aspects of the game.

If you’re a new player! Please don’t read this and think about not applying. We will be accepting new players to the game in limited numbers. We are looking for players that are switched on and able to learn the game at a rapid pace. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, I would try out Red V Blue if i were you. They fight eachother on a "friendly" basis, welcomes "noobs" Cool and there you can learn a lot of the mechanics of pvp. Also, Agony Unleashed have pvp classes you can join where you can learn the basics of pvp.

I'd like to invite you to check us out as well. Vicis Inter Astrum is small compared to many Eve organizations, but we are active and mature, laid-back and supportive of members who are learning and growing.

Eve is a game first, and most of our members have jobs, kids and other RL constraints. Our understanding for real life leads us to move a bit more slowly than some corps, but it lends a lot of stability and our members a fiercely protective of the atmosphere that we've created.

This is a corp that is experienced enough to help you grow; it's also young enough that your contribution makes a difference. It's a unique combination that I hope you consider. Check the link in my signature for our wall-of-text advertisement, and come chat us up in game.
