Laughter daughter....wait a minute........

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Those are easy. It's more troublesome to pronounce the made up names. Amm-aar? Amm-ar? AMM-ar? And Jita, is that pronounced with an English J¹, or with a French J²?

¹ Like in the English word Jungle.
² Like in the name of the French writer Jules Verne.

Or the Spanish name Julio?

I couldn't get "Amarr" right for the longest time until I studied this lesson . . .

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Better question would be how you pronounce most of the system names. I'm looking at you most of Minmatar space.

I met an FC once who solved this problem easily in an international fleet ... use the same naming system like in 0.0: the first 3 letters of a solar system name makes the system name for the fleet. Blink

Hofjaldgund is a system in the Metropolis region. Glad to help.

I once flew under an FC who kept pronouncing the name of the proud Amarrian battleship Abaddon as Abandon.
As said, I only flew under him ONCE.

Ezwal wanders off shaking his head while grumbling about illiterate FC's that refuse to even try to pronounce the unpronounceable...
