Hello everyone,

Some of you may know about this project based on my postings as Vixen Soul. I am the owner, developer and admin of Sociopath Community. I also have done some small projects for Eve including a lottery system.

The tool I'm currently working on is an easy to use personal web page for Coalitions, Corps, and Alliances. The entire system is API based. Users and Leaders will register, and then submit their API and if leader, corp API to the system.

I've made a concept design in Inkscape providing of a glimpse of how this system will look. You can see it here.

This is a page based system made up of modules. In the picture, you can see what these modules look like I think you will find the interface very familiar, and easy to use. The purpose of this system is to provide corps/alliances/coalitions with a Non-EVE base of operations. What this means is that even while outside of the game, players can coordinate events, let members know what fittings to bring, see data about members, play the lotto, communicate with your corp members in instant chat, or test fits, and much more. This type of base of operations will help to unite corps regardless of size. When players unite, relationships are made stronger, and members have more fun. This is one of the keys to the success of a corp.

Another huge feature will be a contribution system. The system will look at an array of API and Event based data to display the contribution a player makes to his or her corp. This system will be great for providing recognition for members who are looking out for their corp.

Another big feature is a lotto system. This system will provide blink-lotto quality to your corp/alliance/coalition. Many players enjoy gambling. Why should the profits of this go to some random player? With our system, players will be able to participate in Lottos made by the alliance/coalition/corp, and profits will go back to your corp.

I don't want to say all the features, but we have quite a bit planned for this system. We currently need testers. Please mail me if you are interested.

Thank you so much!

Luna Prey

P.S. Do you see in the photo I posted, the fittings area? I am not a member of a large alliance that does large scale opps. I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on how to organize a useful fitting management system into the event system. This will allow for maximum organization, and give FC's a lot of flexibility. Could you guys perhaps discuss your corp policy in terms of fits?

I've fleshed out the system infrastructure a bit. I've left some notes in there for my developer as well so don't mind them. You can see it here.

As you can see, this system is based on modules. This will make it very flexible. I can always add modules to make the program better and smarter through time :)

Still need a couple more API's if any corps/alliances are interested.

Thank you, but I fear this thread won't have a very good effect at gaining support. This is a dead section of the forum. I'm not looking for developers, I'm looking for alliance and corp API's to use for experimenting and testing while I develop this tool.

Looks like it could be a good tool, OP. Unfortunately none of my chars are corp or alliance leaders, so I don't have APIs to share. Good luck with it.

Edit: Suggestion-- If the tool could be integrated in a corp/alliance's website, I think it would get more use. Organization leaders have typically have information from a lot of sources to manage. Info coming from the game client, voice comms, and the organization's website (forums). In other words, three different applications to open, and three sources of info to coordinate.

A fourth (your tool) might not be too much for an individual leader to handle. But getting all of the leaders and members to consistently access and update a fourth application could become another herding cats chore. (Even getting leaders and members to monitor the corp/alliance website can be a chore. People tend to log into the game client and start playing).

So if the tool could be integrate-able into websites, I think it could be more useful.

the purpose of this tool is to make the other tools unnecessary. this tool will have forums, instant messaging, event coordinating, market coordinating, and also could work with any chat feature.

Sadly I am not a corp or alliance leader but an all-in-one tool seems like a great idea for people who have the fortitude to herd cats like that.

As a suggestion, perhaps you can talk to the api-checker guy and use his ideas there to add a web-based recruitment module to your application anything that makes a recruiters job easier will usually see some movement.

Also in the "Events" listings, you may want to change the word "Fittings" to "Doctrine"

Hi.

Will it be open-source and what language are you coding in it ?

i'm writing it in PHP, HTML5, and MySQL. i don't think it would be a good idea to go open source. i'd like this to be subscription based. the alliance/corps who work with us in development and testing can use the system for free, but otherwise, i'd like this to be a for ISK profit project.

i would be willing to play around with it, and have acess to a corp and alliance level api of decent size. You will struggle to get people to use it without sharing the source though, it is less people are interested in stealing your work, and more they want to ensure that your program isnt storing or saving data entered in, especially with corp lvl apis.

i can't share the source. it would make it impossibly hard to market my service since anyone else can set up their own server with my code for free.

If this is still in development I manage 2 corps and am in the market for a useful corp management tool.
