I would like to throw this out there.

We are roaming in a gang. I call spread points and all of our new friends we just met warped off except the one that everyone pointed.

This can work whatever way you think would communicate best to the player.

But the basic idea is similar to icons that show up bellow the target locked icon when you are applying your modules. What if there was like a red dot or something on the locked target icon indicating to whoever has it locked that someone else's has that ship pointed.

I am split on this feature request. Part of me believes that communication should play a strong role in this. The other part of me would enjoy having everyone shut up on comms.

What do ya think?

Yea I feel the same way to be honest. Communication should be a major part of fleet engagements, but at the same time I feel that a little indicator on whether the ship is pointed by someone else wouldn't hurt too bad.

Would be cool if the overview just enumerated hostiles with an alphanumeric, then you could just teach teams to go for certain numbers.

Let's call them "tags" and bind them to the numbers on your keyboard.

Even then tagging is a pain in the ass.

The nice new automatic binding starts off where ever you left off also could you imagine comms.

"Ralfio grab point on B"

Take that times 15.

Then everyone is focusing on letters vs the actual goal.


Hell even a stronger visual affect for a point would work kind of like a web. But then those that play on lower video settings could not take advantage of that.

Its not like doing PVE in pvp things go so fast tags become irrelevant you know?

Even perhaps a automatic broadcast indicating who you grabbed and lost point to may work. But I could just imaging how horrible that would be as well.

I still think a little indicator or red dot would help.

Yeah, tagging doesn't work very well outside incursions, it seems. What I think CCP should add is a graphical effect for points and scrams.

Edit: Err, there is one? I have never seen it and have my client on max settings.

If there is one its too mild for anyone to notice. Even if there was a graphical effect its not enough. Its better to just have a red dot or something. Thats all.
