sorry my bad english.

I have: chat/mail with linked ship fitting
What I want: EFT-formatted text. It's standart interchange format. Can be imported to most fittings programs and some useful web-services.

Now is:

1. click link
2. save fit
3. browse fittings
4. click export
5. deselect all
6. find right outfit and select it
7. write filename
8. press export
9. run eft
10. open xml file manager
11. select necessary file
12. import
13. and NOW copy to clipboard

ShockedTwistedQuestion

But ingame link already has ALL information, and can be copied.
So, all I need indeed - app/service to decode "fitting://......" into EFT-formatted text.

http://eve.rootdir.org/evefit/ - looks like abandoned, output have strings order, incompatible with EFT format
http://gamecalcs.appspot.com/eveonline/linkconverter.html - may be the way, but eveHQ can't import result url

Please help to find appropriate service or app.

I use the Neocom app for iOS. it opens fitting:// links and then has an export to email option.

Click link, click save, find fit, click export.

Go to EFT, click import, find the xml file and import it.

Done.

The client really should have the option to have text export, straight to the clipboard, in EFT format.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

This would approach Teircide levels of usefulness imo.

Don't you think an in-game fitting tool would be more useful? Seems a bit backward for CCP to spend dev time to support external software.

Test server? (not exact I get it, but gung ho diehard oldschool theorycrafters don't like eft anyways).

Seems a bit of a waste of time to reinvent something that already exists.

I wouldn't mind either way. But even with an in-game tool, I'd use EFT because I can play around with fits on my break without having to lug around something that can run EvE. EFT is just fun to play with till i can get home and experience what a horrible Idea my fits are by exploding.
