Hi all,

im looking at a new pc as im using a very old one on minimal settings but im fed up and want to use the high settings but not sure whats best. i will be running 5 accounts and this is what im looking at. Does ne1 use similar and will it be enough ?

I5 - 4670K
16gb 2133Mhx DDR3 ram
2 x 2gb GTX 760 graphics card

im tempted to also get a SSD as well as a normal hard drive (does it make any difference apart from loading the game ?)

i will also want to use 3-4 monitors so i can have accounts on their own monitor as much as possible

If i wanted to use the high settings in eve Is the spec enough or would i need to go higher ?

As far as i know a SSD isnt a big benefit for EvE. However definitly get one and put your OS on it and enjoy a few second boot time.

I can tell you from experience that i was able to run 3 accounts on 3 monitors on high settings and AA @ 1080 with a i7 920 OC 3.2ghz, GTX 670 and 12 GB of ram...

so i would imagine with that setup you wouldn't have an issue at all

16 Gb of RAM is probably overkill. 12 will be more than enough.

Two 670 is massively over the top. Get yourself a single 770 and save yourself a huge amount and still have more than you need. That is if you can find one that will support all the monitors you need (HDMI is overrated, you can use those and the DVIs and wont notice a difference). As for the i5, good choice.

like two years ago i was able to play using 4 accounts (4x window mode-mid details) on amd 64 4800+ 4gb ram, and GF 9600gt windows xp (5 year old PC), in one monotor, probably your PC monster should easy do it even these days after new minimum new EVE requirements, but if you prefer multi monitors you need good stuf.

If it bleed we can kill it.

You should be able to run 5 accounts with that setup on multiple monitors fairly well. You "might" have to turn down a few settings.

I run 3 monitors and 8 accounts on a Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz / 32GB Ram / Single 680 GTX smoothly. I got a Dell 30" Dell Ultrasharp for my main monitor this week and Eve looks amazing at 2560x1600.

Whatever you decide to go with, make sure you have a decent PSU to power it all...many a time I have heard these awesome rigs fail miserably because an inadequate PSU was installed.

If you are going to go with the newer GTX 7 series, a minimum of 650 W is required. I personally, fitted a 850 W 80 PLUS Gold to run two GTX 770s in SLI mode.

And don't forget a suitable CPU cooler.

my 4 year old PC runs 5-6 accounts fine.
the important thing is having enough RAM.
