Ability to View Angular Velocity in Degrees

Title says most of it: just a simple option (like a checkbox) to display angular velocities as degrees (both on overview and in weapon attributes)

This would be a simple change that would help the usability of the angular velocity column on the overview, because unless you've lived only using radians and have a sense for what something moving with an angular velocity of 0.1603 rads/sec looks like, degrees are (probably) much easier to read and interpret quickly.

Small change, but it would definitely help the usability of the overview, and probably help new players learn the mechanics.
30 degrees/sec is something people can easily visualize, as opposed to 0.5235988 rads/sec which I for one can't see off the top of my head. Nothing wrong with radians except that they're harder to visualize (especially when not in terms of pi).

Thoughts?

Supported, easy usability fix.

Weapon tracking is displayed in radians per second, which is why angular velocity is displayed in rad/sec. That said, I support the idea of being able to swap between radians and degrees.

Degrees aren't great for computer mathematics just learn to understand http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radian

I know degrees aren't great for mathematics, the calculations should definitely still be done in radians, but a simple client-side conversion before it's displayed would be a welcome option.

why?

The vast majority of players wouldn't be able to tell what 0.5 rads/s actually looks like anyways so why change it to degrees? you trying to say they'll be able to know what 28.6deg/s looks like. Yeah right!

/signed.

As long as it changes the details on weapons (and drones and everything else with tracking) as well.

ONLY and ONLY if the change is optional.

As in we have the option to chose between the two.
Radians are easy and I prefer them to degrees.

I support a toggle for this, I can visualize degrees but others see things differently

Honestly, I'm starting to get more of a feel for Radians than degrees due to having used them so much more in past, but this addition would be really easy and painless. Supported, either way.

Until a change like this implemented, address your shooting decision like this. If the AngVel is a value less than the tracking speed of your turret, it's a good shot. If the value is more it's not.

A good shot:
.02 = your turret tracking speed
.001= AngVel of the target

NOT a good shot:
.02 = your turret tracking speed
.1 = AngVel of the target

I don't really see what difference the units of measurement make. As long as my guns' number is higher than the targets number, it's all good...

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.
