Amazon.com PLEX sale, US only :(

6 Plex at UK prices is £84.99 which is scandalous considering they are giving you a lower dollar price for the same number of an identical item.

Just to highlight that, the dollar price if you bought 6 PLEX in the UK is $137.

Just to add insult to injury, the £84.99 for 6 PLEX is a special promotional offer.

In UK money, you are getting the 6 for £46.51, almost half what we normally pay.


When will UK customers get a similar offer? We pay well over the odds for our normal subs compared to US$ so a little bit of a special offer would be very welcome.

What about Canada? For being little more than a vassal-state of the US we sure get the short end of that stick. Will we be lumped in with the UK if they get a promotion?

How many times do you think you can :CCP: your playerbase in a row? Seems to me you are going for a new record this month.

Well its been a couple days now and we are greeted with both silence and implied disdain from CCP on this issue.

CCP, we are talking real wallet dollars here, and a huge disparity between how US users and the rest of the community are being treated. When I say treated, I mean SCREWED.

FIX THIS.

PLEX should be sold on the main site for the same number of days at the 25% reduced cost for EVERYONE, that the US only players have been enjoying for days now. Simple. Done.

Well not only will Amazon.de not ship outside Germany and maybe one or two other countries they are clearly advertising RMT over Ebay on Amazon.de

Well for those of us outside the US that normally buy PLEX, this is a real kick in the bollocks...25% is real money when buying 6 plex...

In protest I am not buying the normal 6 plex I do this cycle, and will sell off ships I haven't been flying lately to fund my next inkling. I will not reward CCP for so clearly screwing non-US players like this.

I bought 6 plexes a few days ago in £. I want the difference back. This is either pure discrimination, greed or a mistake on CCP part. I hope for the latter.

Hmm, so CCP's response is to say its Amazon kicking non-US players in the bollocks, yet the Amazon person I talked to said they implement US-only controls at request of the provider (i.e. CCP).

So which is it CCP? Is it Amazon locking the pricing down to US-only 'just because they felt like it', or is it actually because of how you negotiated the deal with Amazon as they say?

Either way, it should be addressed by CCP -- by changing the terms with Amazon, OR dropping PLEX prices on EveOnline.com by 25% to match for *everyone*.

How about it CCP?

As of today the Amazon price has gone back up to $99. US players got $25 off, everyone else got screwed. Thanks CCP!

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the ineligibility for certain countries when it comes to these PLEX offers as it is entirely up to Amazon, and they have their own policies on the matter. Actually 22,76€ for 3 plex and 45,52€ for 6 on Amazon fr since sept 25.

Haven't try it.

Great deal for 6 PLEX at $64 bucks w/ conversion, unfortunately it also doesn't work on checkout with a Canadian credit card...

According to Amazon, the vendor (CCP) has limited this offer to US customers only in the contract.

So Amazon passes the buck to CCP, CCP passes the buck to amazon. Non-U.S. players get nothing.

So a quick chat with Amazon.ca support staff reveals that .com .ca and .uk are separate entities, so it's not an Amazon policy issue, but rather that CCP dealt only with the .com.

...yet the same 25% off deal is now advertised on the French amazon site, 6 PLEX for around $65 (with conversion). So its just the US and French players that get this deal?

Regardless of mechanics of how this was nagotiated with one or more amazon entities, CPP now has a marketing and player-love optics issue here, that needs to be resolved by giving EVERYONE equal access to this 25% off deal that only a select few were given. Quickest fix is a 3 day 25% off PLEX deal on the EveOnline.com site. Done.
