OP.. You just have to understand that some people are motivated by the accumulation of tears. Like how some people will do whatever it takes to amass billions of ISK, other people will do whatever it takes to amass great tears. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

The whole point is laughing at people who get upset over meaningless pixels; not that they are mad in general, but tat they are mad about nothing.

The people who can't distinguish between a stupid game and something that actually matters are those with the issues.

If you annoy someone irl there is a good chance that he will punch you in the kisser. Doing the same thing from behind your internet line just shows you are a coward.

You seem to be under the impression that people of a certain playstyle have serious real life mental conditions. The mistake you're making is failing to differentiate between real life and fantasy, which happens to be a serious mental condition that you should seek help for, if not for yourself, then for the safety of the people around you.

Then again, people are responsible for their actions, whether its fantasy or reality this activity still reveals the morality and sensibility of the person.

"We're not crazy! They are!"

There are really no such people who can't distinguish between a stupid game and something that actually matters. You made those people up in your head. The people who get mad about awoxing aren't mad because their internet spaceship was exploded or their space corporation got disbanded. They are mad that someone would spend so much time and energy to do something so assinine. If you can't comprehend that certain aspects of awoxing take place OUT OF GAME, then maybe YOU are having some trouble distinguishing what is playing the MMORPG called EVE Online from what is Joe Neckbeard sitting at his computer just douching up the internet.

If you read the pastebin chats after a standard awoxing , corp theft of suicide gank or even read James 315's excellent blog you will quickly come to the opposite conclusion as to which party has unhealthy mental problems. The anger , frothing and detailed gruesome IRL threats from the "victims" is very disturbing. I suspect the perps are as fascinated as people like me that merely read about their exploits as to how weirdly so much of humanity reacts to losses in a computer game. It reminds me of why we couldn't play monopoly when i was a kid because my sister threw the game accross the room if she thought she was losing. She grew out of it by the time she was 9 or so but these people seemingly haven't.
I would be happy to have an EVE awoxer as a RL friend but the people that overeact on an epic scale i would want to steer well clear of.

yes! down with people that shoot at each other in computer games - cowards the lot of them.

While I disagree with the OP, I also disagree with this. It's not about shooting people. Awoxers hide behind anonymity. If they were straight up PvPing, and owning their reputation, that's fair enough, but a lot of people create new characters to awox. That's what makes them cowards.
Attack people however you want, EVE is an unforgiving game, but own your reputations people.

No. They do not possess the capacity. Which demonstrates why I told you that you seem to misunderstand the concept of a sociopath.

"Yo momma!" Really, you don't have anything better than that? In case you weren't making a real life threat, I will let you know that my mother doesn't play the game. But my wife does, if you'd like to take a crack at her. She's pretty good at ECM though, so you might want to bring some countermeasures.

That sentence makes no sense whatsoever.

I agree, and I'd even go further and say that that doesn't just apply to anger. I think it applies to other emotions as well . . . like shame.

That presumes one would have something to be ashamed of. This however, is a video game. The inability to disassociate a video game with real life, and therefore acting as though actions in the game reflect real life, is a complete fallacy, not mention delusional.

I often find that the people who rage the most and complain in online games have the most mental issues many whom I know irl but it's nice to see so many psychologists online, I would reflect my opinion on psychologists but I would probably get banned for it.

For instance the first one:

Violence solves everything..

Don't understand why everything in life or game has to have some sort of hidden mental issue behind it just because you can't comprehend why the other person is doing such an act then you have to make **** up.

The disctinction is still there. I haven't had a ganker ever give me death threats or vile insults about my parentage or my race after an exchange. A miner does this on an almost constant basis.

They get furious, absurdly upset over pixels. There is something wrong with that. There is something wrong with them.

It's his play style.

Not just that but he could be roleplaying how he would want that characters mindset to be.
