Gunnery Skill time changes! - CCP do we get a SP refund!

So CCP have decided to make the skill training time for turrets the same as missiles! All well and good for new players or players that havent trained them yet. But what about all us vets who have SPENT MONTHS training each lower skill/specials and then then next levels in that order! Are you going to give us some SP refund so we can spend on other skills, that we could of trained if we didnt have to spend months training this.

Implementing stuff like this is simply not fair to the people who have (and there are many) who have spent a lot of time training these gunnery skills. I know similar things have been done in the past, but we are talking on a much larger scale here, MUCH larger.

This is useless to me because I have trained everything in gunnery and a bit of a **** take tbh

i am sure as soon as they remove small guns from the game and thus make the skill useless they will refund the SP until then why would or should they?

Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85

Use those skills.

You can fly Frigates as well.

IF they had changed the skilsl all to rank 1, then yes I would like a compensation. But changing requisites of skilsl taht still work .. nope.

Who says someone isn't using the lower tier turrets? Why refund something you actually use?

You wont get SP because you're not losing anything.

Your wasted time training for large guns isn't wasted because you can now use every single T2 gun of that class, something the players training right to large wont have.
If CCP give you SP back they're going to have to take away your medium and small spec skills.

You should be thankful. CCP has given you a great "In my day...!" story to tell to nooblets when you become a bittervet.

Erm... No.
Explain to me how it's not fair. You an any other player will have the same training time, it's not like you are being delayed at all.
CCP makes changes to the game, this is just the way it goes. If they make something useless, then they will refund, but they won't refund because you may or may not have chosen to do things differently had this change been made in the past. And they've told us in advance this is coming so we can halt any in progress training if we feel the need. My guys will always train all levels of guns anyway so as the meta changes, so can I.

can someone link where ccp said about theses changes?

being a 4 month old player i like this idea, it already takes an age to just become effective at pvp, this should help new players fly ships they are actually interested in effectively instead of just staring at a skill queue for months

I don't know about you but I actually use my skills. I don't train into Medium Pulses, then never touch small pulses again.

Which angle is worse - the original poster complaining about the change _or_ CCP deciding after ten plus years a change is suddenly necessary to help ~new~ players...?

A SP refund alone will not do as I trained many of these skills years ago.

I demand a SP refund with interest. I think 7.5% interest/month would be fair but I am open to negotiations on the exact number.
