What's with the environment in 0.0?

I realized the backgrounds in 0.0 seem a little dull/boring compared to everywhere else (I think I remember reading they did this on purpose for some reason), in addition, I tried turning on the in-game music only to find there were about two music tracks, one of them which sounds like the cross between a dying cat and a 60's horror film.

CCP... are you trying to tell us something?

Then go try something else for christ's sake.

When Bon Scott died and he appeared before St. Peter at the gates of Heaven, St. Peter looked at his record and told him he couldn't get in. Just then, God screams at Peter, "Let him in, Karen Carpenter is driving me nuts. I want to hear some music with balls. We'll haggle over the paperwork later." At least I hope that's what happened.

Players have yet to discover the jukebox in null space.

Actually It suits the environment pretty well, since null sec is lawless space nothing is there mostly undiscovered "unrefined" systems, the music accompanies this by not providing any music at all since again nothing is there you're essentially in void, same thing for the background if you notice there are much more stars and the (skies?) are clearer (imo looks better than high/low background) since again it's empty space, it fits really well with theme of: null, void, empty.

Thanks, this made perfect sense to me. Less music in undiscovered space. Thanks for clearing it up. Liked.

I will tell a joke:

That dullness has a purpose.

- If you are a blobber, nice music and scenery distracts you from following the "now press F1" orders in fleet chat.

- if you are a renter, there's no need for music or scenery as the RMT bots don't feel about that anyway. Twisted

- If you are an AFK cloaker you don't need music nor scenery since, well, you are AFK.

Well this concept might be alien, but aren't jokes supposed to be funny?

For my part, i prefer space to be dark and empty, i find it more immersive than these flashy wallpapers we find in high sec.

Edit : oh, and as for the soundtracks, i don't use sounds while playing EVE because i also find it immersion-breaking (there's no sound in space after all).
Also, I remember that there was indeed a jukebox in EVE, but i don't remember how to find it again *blushes* (just out of curiosity)

They removed the jukebox, now you cant just listen to Below the ateroids on loop.

Well, you can, but you have to use youtube to do so.

All of null is black and lifeless and **** while wormhole space has all of these colours.

It's unfair is what it is.

For that matter, Below the Asteroids passes for decent null theme. Those CCP and their hidden depths in seemingly light-hearted soundtracks...

This is strange... I don't see how removing something such as the jukebox can improve the game... Which reason have they given ?

The truth can be funny, sometimes. Even in a hilariously ugly kind of way. Straight

Right now for example the right wing government in Hungary has passed a law that prohibits sleeping outside when you're homeless... I might be a little cynical but don't tell me you didn't have to laugh about the ridiculousness of the whole situation.

On another note in germany the phone provider may not charge you any money if you are deaf (does not count for messaging services like SMS, MMS, etc.)... same goes for the TV if you are blind... Straight

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Maintenance effort.

CCP shamelessly admited that they're hideously lazy.

Also it's not needed anymore, all EVE music is available on soundcloud and/or downloadable.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Oh yeah, Provi is very dull!

So euhm...I wouldnt recommend trying to take it or anything.

You know...because of how dull it is and stuff....Yeah...
