On an interesting note. There was another funny thing that happened recently . I was with a friend on Teamspeak and I read some thread about factional warfare (caldari side) and why this and why that. Same sh!t factional warfare players always talk about.

One of the funniest things you always read about if you've been in game long enough and are somewhat aware of factional warfare whatever.

There's always some new pilot or "leader" that joins Caldari factional warfare with some big plan and idea. What is this big plan and idea? Some keep it to themselves because they're funny like that and it's super secret sauce. While others talk about it alot.

The conclusion all these "leaders" and pilots or the "in the know" people bring up is "ORGANIZATION". Mainly organizing the entire militia. BUT! After a few months of deploying their secret sauce they fail and their corporation or alliance falls apart or they or that pilot leaves factional warfare all together.

Give it 1 more month then some other guy joins factional warfare and HE has a big idea. Now what is this uber awesome idea he has planned that will win factional warfare and eve? Simple "ORGANIZATION". Anyway that dude does it and fails and his alliance, corporation and or he leaves or whatever. Then 1 month later Caldari Jesus arrives with an AMAZING plan to "turn" everything around and "win" factional warfare. Why is Jesus's plan going to work while past leaders plans have failed? O.R.G.A.N.I.Z.A.T.I.O.N. Well sh!t. Why didn't some one think to do that in the past? Fu*k knows but they should have been MORE "ORGANIZED".

Of course myself and said close friend laughed at this tired and played out tail and went back to moving ships, making ships, exploration and talking about AWESOME subjects like "R@p3" and politics in real life.

Haven't missed much.

A good FC is someone who is good at the game. Sadly 99% of people who play this game are really bad at it. That rule also applies to FC's. A good FC will fly better doctrines, make better decions, teach their pilots to become better, and have more fights.

End of story. If you are flying with someone who can not do any of those (which is most likely due to the 99% rule) Then I would suggest finding someplace / someone to learn from.

I don't understand why people always want to equate hull sizes with organizational capacity. It is actually more about toon age. If a lot of a corporation is young, then being effective usually equates to frigates. In fact, we encourage our newer players to stay away from larger ships, etc. because they won't be able to support what they can do. Faction war in general features more frigates, and smaller ships because of several reasons - age being a weighty factor. That's not to say that old toons aren't in fw. Which leads to the mechanics of fw.

Essentially you can define ur engagement parameters - novice, small, etc. This also assists younger players - if they specialize in say frigs, and they train to high frig skills - they can take on older toons at a reduced rate of failing. Allows for a slight closure of the skill gap in a shorter period of time. This mechanic doesn't exist in null except in the ability to hide within a fleets.

So essentially faction war favors a different play style and in my opinion is more inclusive of younger players who want to pvp. In addition, being able to effectively FCC fleets of any size in my mind is indicative of organizational ability.

Every entity has some minutia of organization.

There are entities that are made up of solo pilots that have little to no command and control structure or logistics. There are entities with the exact opposite.

However, I've been apart of engagements where a small gathering (2 - 3) or large a gathering (20- 30) of solo pilots come together and straight skull f*ck VERY large entities on a consistent basis. Some don't even have a dedicated voice server. Infact I've used "Eve Voice" A LOT since I started playing.

There are also some entities that are filled with terrible leadership and pilots except ONE EPIC Fleet Commander. They have all of that ORGANIZATION and what not but they're not known for that sh!t. What is known is that THIS FLEET COMMANDER IS IN THAT ENTITY and they WIN because of HIM. A player who is able to heard ret@rds into victory. With this Fleet commander that entity is in fact TERRIBLE.

note: Winning vicariously is the normal in this game. People like to join the winners but often don't improve, contribute and are in fact TERRIBLE but like to give opinions and berate others like they are. VICARIOUSLY WINNING!

Now.

I doubt you'd enjoy reading an assessment about your corporation or any other Gallente entity. Especially my assessment which would not be kind. 2 - 3 Gallente entities being the exception.

To be clear. I know and chat with pilots currently within and who have left your corporation and other entities within the Gallente militia. So their assessments are definitely biased like all opinions are. Like some have kind words, harsh criticisms, and sometimes hate. However, I've already come to my own conclusions based on my engagements against said entities. Often at an disadvantage solo and as a fleet commander. VERY OFTEN.

More interesting though are assessments I often read from Gallente "Kool Aid" drinkers whom I don't think much of is the Caldari lack organisation. Which is why they (the caldari) be bad.

I disagree... Most Caldari pilots and leaders are bad irrespective of being organized or not.

In my opinion. The Gallente corporation/alliances are not that good as a whole or individually. Caldari are just worse.

Well, obviously because "good" is a measurement and it requires a point of reference and the Gallente are using themselves as that reference but MOST lack the understanding of why they're better.

Gallente are a LOOSE federation of somewhat competent tribes who are dedicated to being in factional warfare. Maybe 6 - 8 entities are capable of surviving the hostile low security environment. Maybe 2 - 3 are WAY better than others (NO, you're corp isn't in that list but the QCATS are).

The Caldari on the other hand ONLY tend to have at least 3 corporations/alliances dedicated to factional warfare. 2 tend to be ALMOST as good as the BEST of the Gallente. Then there's the rest who literally don't matter at all. Beyond BAD! Their leaders are incompetent and those corporations/alliances have no competent pilots or fleet commanders AT ALL.

To me the obvious way to fix this equation would be to have similar numbers of less than competent entities on the Caldari side as there is on the Gallente side. Which is why I'm not fixated on Organization to much. All an entity needs to succeed in 0.0, low security space and factional factional warfare is a good fleet commander and members willing to follow orders. OR! Have an entity of REALLY good pilots. Each member provides his own logistics then there would be no need for a bureaucracy. Command and control is limited to the tactical level based on Fleet commander requirements or he could have some strategic goal like a POS that will require management ( a bureaucracy).

Anyway. Point is your efforts are meh! The gallente have been dominating the Caldari for a long time in what matters, Combat. Most other things are not considered because there are a lot of things an entity or pilot can do without that SOV holding entities have to think about. I don't make my own ships, I can pay someone to move my stuff, isk is easy to make and even easier to lose, an organizing mechanic is built in the game it's calda the "corporation" or "alliance"; voice communication is provided for me as well as a forum; and YOU DO NOT NEED an effective fleet commander or pilots to survive in low or high sec. This game makes it REALLY easy to run away and avoid loss and CCP plans to make it even easier.
