DISCLAIMER: Yes, for the first time in EVE, I am actually quite butthurt and even mad. Probably because I don't understand the mindset of these guys, FW space is full of wartargets and neutrals to shoot, why shoot your own.

I got awoxed by Kaiden Katelo, a fellow gallente militia member, km http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=19779191.

Now I wonder if there are any public lists for awoxers, so others can avoid these scumbags? Since I'm not his first victim, I wonder how I could be the last one?

Nobody (except the butthurt) reads such lists anyway.

There's no public list but the best way is to simply ask around in intel or corp channel. Or ensure that your corp is pretty quick to setting awoxers red.

Speaking of avoiding butthurt, my corp maintains a private list of all pilots who fight with OGB in the warzone. This helps mitigate some of the butthurt that can come from many pilots looking for a solo. Also helps us with probing out their OGB. I should probably go update that list though :)

98% of the awox fails miserably and people are just left behind feeling a bit silly. So noone is botherd with putting up such a list.

If such a list existed, in the time that it would take you to go through the list and check, they would probably have already killed you. Also just because no one has Awoxed before, doesn't mean they won't do it this time. For example 99.9% of the time I won't AWOX you, unless you come into my plex in a venture with intention of actually participating in FW, in which case I have no problem AWOXing someone.

Another problem with list like these as they get abused, someone hurts someones feeling and then gets all there mates to vote for someone to be added to the list who isn't actually an Awoxer etc.


The real problem here is at the core of FW itself, AWOXing someone should have a huge impact or your standing, you should be able to get away with it once, maybe twice, then a 3rd time makes you Kill on sight to Caldari State (insert you faction here). As it stands, the standings hit isn't that bad.

It's the only way these tards can get kills. Just assume everyone who isn't in your corp is looking to gank you, that's what I do and it seems to work out.

Awoxing within your militia does have a impact on your personal faction standings. However, awoxers have found 3 very effective ways to make standings irrelevant:

1. Switch corps every 7 days, that way your personal standings never impact corp standings and your corp can stay in FW forever.
2. Have enough +10 faction standings characters in corp to offset the -10 faction standing characters.
3. Stick to cross militia awoxing, which doesn't have a standing hit. This is at least somewhat legit tactic, because in this case we can at least shoot first at the awoxer without letting them get into their optimal (either point blank or at range).

On the plus side:

If someone comes into your site to leach your ISK, you can awox them
If you find out someone is a spy alt, you can awox them
