The other day as I was customizing my character I noticed that there was a severe lack of clothing options for my Character.

I then had a look at the other races character customersation and noticed they all posses their own unique sets of clothing and attire.

Such as the Amarr have robes and Gallente have more casual jackets and shirts.

And My frustration when I saw the awesome Caldari jackets (I love jackets with lots of pockets) and my character not being able to wear them.
_

My Question is: Why am I not allowed to wear the clothing of other races?

Why isn't all clothing options in the character creation regardless of race?

Am I as a Gallente citizen not allowed to wear clothing made by the Amarr if I felt like it?

Is it a Racial issue?

I can understand that CCP would want to have each race be distinct and to be recognized by the way they look and dress. But it still makes no sense that it is this way.

why can't I enter a Minmatar station and purchase their fashion and clothing? (Because there has to be clothing stores somewhere in new Eden) Don't they take kindly to people like me around those parts?

New Eden is apparently full of Racists :P

But in all seriousness:

Couldn't CCP just make all clothing options available to us from the start?

Or if it's a problem just make it so that we can purchase them in the market for a couple of million or perhaps even for AUR.

I would pay for that, I love the character models of EVE, i just wish I had more freedom in what clothing I could wear.

Racism, racism everywhere.

Amarr are being religious nutjobs.
Minmatar are rebellious slaves that wont work for free.
Caldari are money monglers and gallente are bunch of hippies.

And I have the worst of all of them Lol

I would argue differently. I do think that the races should have distinct clothing from one another. Why would a Minmatar want to wear the same thing as an Amarrian? Why would the Caldari dress like the Gallente?

However, I agree that there needs to be more of a choice of clothing options. I had imagined that the Minmatar would wear more fur and leather and metal, sort of like Klingons. Gallente had visors at one time, which made them look kind of 'retro-future' like George Jetson or something. I agree that the Caldari clothes are pretty cool, although a little militaristic.

I also think that there should be Faction war uniforms, to distinguish Faction war pilots from traders and haulers. Maybe a hat or helmet is all that is needed.

I found the clothing options pretty limited too.

I suppose you should be able to wear the clothes of another race if you wanted, but I prefer to have them look very different.

Cultural assimilation. If you have good standing with a race you should be able to wear its civilian clothing.

This is a pretty good idea. Its a nice bonus for people who like to role play or grind standings and has not effect on actual game play. However that being said I think there are far more important things for CCP to work on.

I do agree that there are more important things to work on.

But this is not about work, this clothing limitation can't possibly be that difficult for them. They have made the cloths and the models, the characters can indeed wear them. (I mean it's not like Amarrian character models are any diffirent in size to lets say a Caldari) Making all clothing avalible to you is not a major project, it' should be a rather simple thing to do.

It can't possible be that hard to mix already exsisting textures and models with one another.
