Seriously,we won't be bringing back the old unique ships for events. We might give other stuff away that is interesting, but no Guardian Vexor, Opux Luxury Yacht, Fedthron, Impoc, SIR, etc, etc.

Emphasis is mine.

Slightly used out of context....

That answer was to the question of rewards for live player events like dev incursions.

Shhhhh, War Kitten. Not even "that seems legit" had picked up on that.
Whose side are you on anyway? Cripes.

They are gonna re-introduce AT ships as well, outside AT, you know that.

Doesn't matter whether it is or not, it's a clear example of a massive :derp: on their part. They said no microtransactions on one hand, and introduced them with the other (not that a pixel clothing item costing as much as a material one is particularly micro)

Vanity items not equal pay-to-win.

You're right it doesn't, I never mentioned pay to win.

Now that you've brought it up, I suggest you look into the aftermath of the Incarna release, especially the initial refusal by CCP to answer any questions whatsoever about microtransactions; especially the really important ones being asked regarding "gold" ammo and ships, which were very much about pay to win.

The $1000 pants dev post, excessive moderation and "greed is good" leak did nothing to assuage people's fears. It took the threat of mass unsubs, the blockade of trade hubs and multiple threadnaughts to get an answer out of them.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Terribly sorry!

CCP lying to its player base.. surprise..

I preferred CCP when they were smaller and actually liked their paying user base rather than working against them.

I was there and it felt so real.

A stink was kicked up, yeah, but out of fear not out of facts or an any real "threat" of impending pay-to-win microtransaction implementation. And here the same jack-in-the-boxs' are trying to kick up a stink again out of fear of something they don't really understand or grasp. It makes things confusing for CCP to decipher because they have to wade through all the frightened goats first to gauge the opinion of their playerbase.

Another toon I had (biomassed) a while back. Been playing for >3, maybe 4 years. And I am not forum trolling. Disagreeing with somebody isn't trolling. Debating with somebody isn't trolling.

Oh dear, that is terrible! And your reference/proof for this is?

Swivel-eyed loons.

Stop trolling the thread please.

Please, stop trolling.

CCP is giving hundreds of billions of isk worth of ships to a private corporation that they hope will be used in a lottery sponsored by the private corporation. CCP has already admitted that there is nothing stopping that private corporation from just keeping the ships themselves, rigging the lottery, or just self destructing them. The only way for any EVE player to access these ships is to actively participate in some private corporation's lottery.

Stop. Trolling.

Typical response from the frightened forum sheep, "agree with us or you're a troll". You guys leave no room for debate, you know it isn't as clear-cut as what you make it out to be. You just love the smell of conspiracy.

Just to add to this: http://i.imgur.com/5Bql8FR.jpg

To anyone mentioning vanity items only, I say only this: Ishukone Scorpion.

And then there were riots...

BTT: Nothing new to add to this and countless other threads on the issue...respawning "unique"/"limited"/"special edition" ships and giving them to a player-run lottery which has not and cannot be audited by CCP (as they themselves admit) is just another disappointment to put it mildly.

If there is, they're doing entirely too much of their own product.

And the babbies did come out unto the forums and cried "why is EVE so unfair!?", forgetting previously their cries of "EVE is a game where you can be the villain!"
And the babbies did rant and they did rage, making many a clone thread to try and sway the fickle GMs.
And lo, did CCP come down unto the babbies, and they looked upon their posts, and not one **** was given that day.
And the babbies fell from the grace of their god.

Eve is supposed to be unfair because of the other players, not the Devs.
