I looked up world or warcrafts forums and read for a bit. They whine less than eve players! Whats happened to this community? Ever since incarna all i see is people trying to jump all over ccp for whatever bull **** they think will cause a stir.

Whining about who ccps hires

Whining about ccp changing the damn wording in their tos (notice the scammers are all still there, impetsonators too?)

Whining about new featured, bug fixes, exploit announcements.

This community always had its dramaqueens but what made me like this game even more then the game itself was the intelligent mature (mostly, kinda) playerbase. I know i know, these forums werent exactly a haven for enlightened thought, but there was a hell of a lot less of the whining entitlement you see everywhere else. You all whine and cry about every little change now like ccp is some sort of evil dictator.

I just hope this sinks in, WORLD OF WARCRAFT PLAYERS WHINE LESS THEN YOU!

If that game had more scamming and less pandas... Yeah i still wouldnt play it.

Edit: Yes, its good to tell ccp when we dont like something. In a rational manner with well thought out criticism. Crying about something and threatening to quit every time they do something you dislike? Thats whining.

We have to whine, CCP are not able to maintain proper course without getting themselves thrown into ridiculous propositions.
If noone whined we'd have microtransactions right now and 0 flying in space content.

Because players have learned from many past dealings with CCP that mass whining and threadnaughts are the only way to get CCP management's attention because the CSM is completely useless and ineffectual.

I honestly think the community whine a lot less now then back in the old days.

The carrier change threadnaught comes to mind (wooot, that was a fun one )

GM Guard > I must ask you not to use the petition option like this again but i personally would finish the chicken sandwich first so it won´t go to waste. The spaghetti will keep and you can use it the next time you get hungry. Best regards.

No. You dont HAVE to whine. You can have discussions without whining. Ccp makes mistakes, they fix them. Ppl like you however seem to be just looking for causes to rally around against ccp. Like a buncha dumb bored college hippies protesting oil then driving home after.

1. CCP makes mistakes
2. People discuss nicely what they did wrong
3. CCP stands their ground and clarifies on why
4. People now shift into a more serious discussion, because CCP didn't get the message
5. CCP rewords their previous clarification and feeds it to you again
6. People now start whining, and whining REALLY well
7. CCP start feeling an ache on their wallet, they start apologizing profusely and start making up for it

Obviously this is not what always happens and players are wrong too. CCP does listen in calm dicussions as shown in Features & Ideas in the rebalancing threads OR CCP does not listen and keep not listening until they admit their fault and make a "feedback thread" to pretend they're listening. As shown by the latest TOS changes.

Again, kill yourself, ingame.

WOW players are hushed with a shiney new sword whereas CCP takes several years to bring out a new ship. It takes more time to build a shiney new spaceship and commission it than to forge a sword, duh.

I got fedup with Blizzards bullshit. I'm boycotting Blizzard - I remember when WoW was freaking HARD and you needed actual teamwork...not anymore.

I do argree somewhat with the OP. EVE Players are probably the biggest complainers in the MMO industry. Some of it is warrented tho, but not all.

Complaining about gameplay and direction of the game - Good thing, thats our right as players of the game.

Complaining about who CCP hires? - Not our concern, at all. I'll be damned if I owned a business and someone tried to tell me who to hire. Now if the person that CCP hires turns out to be an idiot 2 months down the line, thats all together different.
