Most corporations in null sec require the API. The API is something I feel shouldn't be given so easily to people you just met.
What I'm devising here is a way to build trust with players, corporations and alliances.

Don't ask people for their API .
Don't require recruiters to read and sort through a long list of things to check.
Don't make them feel like they're in a Job interview
Don't make them feel like they're being watched by NSA.

I understand you need a method for rooting out spies and people who want to infiltrate and destroy your corp. What you need to do is build a system to give players security status based on how much a player does for your corporation. For every person I meet I give them a security status just like how agent missions have security status. Use this status scale to judge who you should fly with. For every 1 mil you earn while your with them add status. Some players will give you salvage rights in missions give them a higher status and be ready to sacrifice a ship with them for pvp.

.01 is worth 1 million
.1 is worth 10 million
1.0 is 100 million

Use this status scale for your corporation when recruiting new members :
Knows someone in your corp .05 > .1
Has good references prev corp .01 > .1
Has joined a corporate mining op +.01 per million generated
Has joined corporate PVE +.01 per million generated

Use corporate mining ops and PVE to help recruit new players into your corp. If you have a null sec corp, contract this type of service out in one of your ALT
