I already started a thread some days ago on CCP's aggressive marketing campaigns, apparently aimed at stockpiling money by october; that thread was closed for "rumor mongering", so I will not comment now.

Just will say, if you've got an (USA based) Amazon account and fancy 3 PLEX for USD 39.49 or 6 PLEX for 74.99, hurry up and take on the sale!

(And in case you were speculating with PLEX price... watch out your investment!)

If they keep cutting plex prices there is less and less incentive for players to pay for long subscription times as the opportunity cost narrows to a point where the present value of paying for a year is less than just buying plex during these discount events.

CCP stands to lose some yearly subscribers if they go too far down this path.

I've watched ingame PLEX value soar over the past 3 years from 245,000,000 ISK to now over 600,000,000 ISK.

Really not sure what problem you have with a for-profit company trying to make a profit. If it crashes PLEX prices back to a reasonable level, I'm sure most players won't mind either.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

More 60 billion ravens is not a bad thing. You have to remember that purple gear tends to not result in good players.

no, i just saw the same thing and thought...ok where's the small print. Big smile i kinda wonder if CCP is listing the PLEX at same price too? i never seen any authorized dealer sell before CCP pricing. I could be wrong.

Except for the part where it takes months (and sometimes years) to train the necessary skills for those ships. So really, it's pay to win (in 6-20 months)

I've watch item prices soar to almost double what they were before in those years as well. 3 years ago an Apocalypse could be bought, fit and insured for slightly more than the hull value at less then the cost of an Apocalypse hull now.
