Final volley on rats... or is it ?

This happens repeatedly, not just once or twice.

Firing on a mission BS, Cruise missiles (any type).

2000+ damage (fine)
2000+ damage (fine)
shield gone
2500+ damage (fine)
2500+ damage (fine)
Armour gone
3000+ damage (fine)
3000+ damage (fine)
2-5% of hull left
36 damage done
24 damage done
18 damage done

What's going on ? It's since that patch that mentioned the final damage calculations (forget which one).

Made a bug report a week ago.

Any ideas anyone ? Thanks.

It started with Odyssey 1.1, CCP made a change to how damage on final blow was calculated so as not to "give" you the kill unless you actually did the proper amount needed to make the kill (Old bugged mechanic would give you the kill if the damage was nearly enough). Problem is that in doing so, they seem to have caused another glitch to happen where damage is miscalculated in a different way, causing what should be legitimate final blows are literally ignored (sometimes, as you have seen, several times in a row). CCP stated they were aware of this issue over a week ago and are working on a solution, but have not said anything about it since.

Some have suggested to ungroup your launchers and fire them separately so that the loss of damage is minimal. Best we can do for now...

Known issue

CCP commented on post - patch 1.1 NPC angel battleships with tiny bit hp left bug??

Looks like some legacy code from when structure tanking was a thing got out of it's cage.

A very annoying bug on my sniper 'phoon fit.
