Can't patch

Once again find myself unable to patch...the launcher won't update...the repair tool does nothing and running the bin exe file offers no difference. Same issue as two weeks ago, conveniently I was able to update the game by driving 45mins to a friends place to re-download the entire game. Re-downloading using my internet is not an option because the limitations on data and I would really prefer a solution rather than having to pack up and drive to patch the game.

There's already many posts about this issue with no solutions that I've seen so far. Previously I tried a few tricks such as copying game files to a new folder, then running repair. Those didn't work. This is a recurring issue and is becoming really annoying.

same here. i cannot patch since 2 weeks. had to download the full client to make it work. and now it happened again. patching again not working and i would have to dl the whole client. this is really getting sad. i am playing eve since years but it never failed updating. waht is going on? when will it work again?

I guess I assumed that the "Issues, Workarounds & localization" forum was the correct place to post problems such as this, but the lack of response across the board suggests otherwise.

The launcher sucks, that is one reason why I consider quitting Eve.



I start the launcher. It is too slow, I start it again.

The launcher starts and asks in a dialog: "The Eve Launcher cannot update a directory from which processes are running. Please close the following process: eve.exe" The update bar is red to about one third of the length.

There are options Yes / No: I clicked yes 20 times, but it keeps asking it. The red bar keeps moving a little bit back and forth when I keep clicking.

I clicked No and nothing happened anymore, it doesn't ask the error now.

I close the launcher.

I start the launcher. It is too slow, I start it again.

The launcher starts and asks the same question. I click Yes 20 times, then No.

Again, now nothing. I close the launcher.

I start the launcher. It is too slow, I start it again.

The launcher starts and asks the same question. I can't close the launcher nor dismiss the error message.
I have to click yes or no. I click no. The red bar moves forward a bit. Then nothing happens.

I close the launcher.

I start the launcher. It is too slow. Ok, I wait for full minute this time.

The launcher starts. Now it installs with orange progress bar.

I just ran into a launcher update issue and fixed it here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=279725. Hopefully it's related to your issue. Probably won't help Thorians issue.

Page not found. Doesn't help.

Every patch reminds me of unsubbing.

The actual problem here seems to be, that the client is so slow to start that I start it twice every time, because for some reason it starts right away the second start. But if I double start it, then patching doesn't work.

The problem occurred again.

And why the client says that I have just received an answer to my ticket, because I have not! I checked the answer already in web, so I have not just received an answer. I received the answer earlier, which means it wasn't received "just".

I've just cancelled 3 accounts one being 9 years old.

amazing it has magically been fixed 24hrs later and I didn't change a thing.
