In all the >9.5 years I've been in New Eden I've never thought to check the Info on a Star or even that they had ages!!! Mind-blown and now I'll be looking more closely at my environment. Generally too busy looking in awe at the scenery...it's truly a beautiful universe.

@ISD Cura Ursus: Love that you delved into the database and nice to throw some likes your way for all you do in F&I (my usual haunt) and for adding to this thread.

That would explain the weird 'Submarines in Space' physics...

Actually that is explained quite nicely by warp drives. Your ship's warp drive induces a drag on the ship relative to the greater universe, IIRC.

Which would mean your ship would be dragged and tossed about not unlike a leaf on the ocean. Unless some other bit of physics were in play...

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I'm sorry but I don't think you can get a Nobel Prize. Your discovery is amazing, but not idealistic and liberal enough, sorry.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

/puts on science hat

Our current understanding when it comes to the age of the universe is based on this small detail: we have been fixed to one place and light has traveled here for 13.7 billion years.

If we traveled to something like UDFj-39546284, would our current model of the universe still hold?

You are not the first to notice this feature.

Lol, this thread just took me on a two day tour through wikipedia and youtube :)
And people think video games have no educational value...
