I had my ship stuck in an object in space and couldn't move or warp or general do anything in a mission and lost the ship and skill points since it was tech 3.Really disappointed after 8 months of play and so much wasted time. This is the second time it happens to me because of graphics bug.I was just seeing the ship having some crazy animations and it was like being in an earthquake inside the object.

Ctrl-space to stop the ship, double-click on empty space to move away from the object's bounding box, once you're clear you can warp. It's not technically a bug, the bounding boxes are intentionally simple to reduce the otherwise massive computation required. There was a post/article about it somewhere, some time back.

Maybe don't fly so close to large objects? I hear that orbiting a jetcan works.

Or fly a ship that can just sit still and tank the incoming DPS? Match your T2 resists to the rat's damage types or fly something larger than a cruiser?

I once lost a retriever to belt rats in the Great Wildlands when I got stuck on some rocks and wasn't able to warp out. I had nobody to blame but myself. It taught me how to fly a barge properly in a belt.

Not a bug. Carelessness and lack of skill or spatial acuity.

Rather recently, as I recall. But yeah, ctrl-space, pick a new direction.

I know snarky responses are standard fare around here, but a ship getting "stuck" against objects is a problem that this game has had for years. It's very much a "bug" and it's especially annoying when you warp into a pocket and immediately get stuck against a gate or other object.

It doesn't happen to me nearly as much as it used to, but it still happens. I get it the most on one of those Recon missions where you warp out of the pocket into the middle of what looks like a bunch of giant roots. There's also a drone mission, I forget the name...they all start to run together, where there's a bunch of floating objects near the gate that you have to navigate around. Even if you're no where near some of the debris, your ship will still "collide" with them when entering warp and it will start doing the EVE bobble.

Feel free to report it if you feel it's a bug. However you're likely to get the reply back that it's not a bug, that it's intentional design.

Now bug reporting and asking that stuff be moved a little further from the gate in specific missions may get a useful response (or may not)

Hang on, you've played for 8 months and skilled for a T3 yet you don't know how to click full stop and move away from the object you're stuck on?

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

The thing is I clicked in different direction in empty space and ship still couldn't move.It was like being inside the structure .I did mention the bug and got only my ship back and some equipment which doesn't please me since i lost level 5 skills also.A lot of people in the corp I chat have faced this structure or minerals bug and should either restart the game log out or something like that.So for people which this hasn't happened they might be lucky.Anyway CCP as good support but not that great and probably I m regretting paying so many months for this game.

If you stop your ship you can double click in space to manually pilot in space. Whenyou say you're flying a T3 but don't know how to manually pilot you're going to get grief in the forums. Sometimes the GM's will feel sorry for you with a PVE loss and replace your ship. Good luck and have fun playing Big smile

Using a T3 to do missions in: 0 ISK
Loosing a T3 in missions: ~1 Bil ISK
Crying on forums because you failed at choosing a proper ship and failed at piloting it: absolutely invaluable

I just noticed he pointed out the "bug" of the 5th weapon not being grouped with the other four. I'm sorry but that's just too funny.
