CFC member says I'm exploiting with drones.

I was helping a friend of mine who happens to be fairly new to the game. While in a mission in high sec a Space Monkey Alliance member probbed us out and had come in to salvage or steal I assume. After a coupe minutes he started whining in local that we were using a drone exploit. I had my light drones assigned to my friends Condor so he could work on the small rats while I focused on the battleship new with my cruise missiles.

He kept linking the news item from CCP in reguards to the POS and drone assign incident and telling everyone to petition us for exploiting. Despite my efforts to inform my friend the SMA guy was wrong, this was the third incident of a CFC member going on in local chat claiming someone was exploiting by simply assisting their drones to a fleet member, despite there not being a POS involved.

Why is the CFC members running around trying to scare other players with false information? Unfortunately my friend is too scared to want to use drone assign now because he is afraid of being banned. Will there be more features from the game CFC will want removed?

From what I understand from the Exploit Warning, you aren't breaking any rules UNLESS you are trying to hide in a POS and have your drones attack your friend's target by using assist. If you are outside of a POS then you have nothing to worry about. It just has to do with the whole 'being able to attack without any risk to you' thing.

He is wrong - unless you are at a POS. Period.

And the SMA dude is a d*ck for trying to call shenanigans.

Most of what I write in terms of posts and/or comments is meant as "tongue-in-cheek", i.e. part irony, part sarcasm but meant in good fun.

On a more serious note. I want to marry CCP karkur. Is there a EVE dating service I can call?

I know we are not exploiting. My question is why the sudden push by CFC to tell other players if they drone assist at all, they are exploiting?
