As above, what have I missed? I jumped to this wagon at the start of odyssey. Obviously, my skill training is lacking, but what system updates (or, what news) have cut me while I have been away?

Go for it, big or small, what is the news of New Eden of late?

Industrials are now more specialized and less general.
They also (mostly) hold more.

Lets see.

CFC attacked TEST. TEST is now gypsy in Curse. Razor lost Cobalt Edge. Proviblock had an almost war for about a week. PL lost a Revenant. Fcon managed to lose three Titans in a week. CCP fat-fingered and killed a big fight in Fountain, people were mad. CCP 'clarified' the TOS to ban impersonation, people rightly got mad about that it too. Had 4,000 peeps duke it out in 6VDT. Made non-gaming news, confusing many non-EVE players. Mintchip is now a dust community rep, queue more anger. Soundwave has left. Some EA dudes were hired. Plex is doing its annual autumn spike. Medium rails have been buffed (the rail tengu is now a thing). SN2 citizens was disbanded but sov was ground back up. James 315 is still farming miner tears. TMC staff are idiots and got their site banned from reddit. Links can't be used inside pos force fields now. PL won AT XI, Hydra came second. Prizes were cloaky Angel ships. Some finfleet dude promptly lost one in an FW plex. These forums are still bad. -A- is back (in a Trigger's Broom way). Minmatar hit Tier V for a bit. Fweddit is now a Goon pet. CFC interdicted caldari ice (in a v.lackluster way). Did spike prices for a bit thou. Gevlon Goblin has gone back to killing miners (stupidly thinks people will join him). More explorers means all that stuff has dropped in price. N3 still exists to destroy Goons. Everyone seems to have developed a fetish for moving to Curse. BNI moved to Barleguet. BL have teamed up with Solar for a bit. INIT have joined CFC (who may or may not be the new BoB). Pizza are ganking freighters. The winter expansion is to be announced on the 26th. Some dude bombed a fleet of SBs and killed the whole lot. Links have had an attribute nerf, but are now cheaper and navy versions were introduced. Mining Mindlinks are now in LP stores, the price has tanked. Drones can now be launched by dragging them into space from their window. The sky is still blue. The grass is still green. I still can't kill Tristans. And winter is coming.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

If you want to sort of keep on the bigger news in Eve Online. I use TheMittani.com

They post daily propaganda... ahem... content on the news of Eve Online. Major ship kills of note, news of the movements of the big nullsec alliances, following game mechanics changes, etc.

Yeah, people gripe about them being biased and one-sided and so forth. But it's all in one place I can check in the morning, and I'm lazy like that.

So there you go.

Medium beams and artillery were also buffed. Medium beams do more DPS than medium pulses now, which is just silly.

In other news: off grid boosting was killed, armor repairers and shield boosters were buffed and HACs got a rebalance except for the Eagle, which is still horrible.
